Although Lottie was full of adrenaline and there were constant butterflies fluttering around inside her tummy, she decided she'd better go to bed so she would have the energy for tomorrow night. She lay down in bed and pulled out her phone. She questioned whether or not to text Noah again or if that would make her seem annoying. Before she had to think about it a moment longer, her phone buzzed, indicating she had a text. She unlocked her phone and realised this text was from Noah.________________________________

Lottie smiled to herself before turning off the lamp and pulling the covers over her. She snuggled into the soft fresh sheets and played back all the events from the day. The peaceful morning, the boy watching her in the queue, leaving her book in the bakery, finding out there were a new selection of books in the library, Noah returning her book, and finally, Noah inviting her to see him perform as the opening act for The Killers as a V.I.P! She felt the happiest she ever had. She couldn't stop smiling. She thought through the events from today, but as always, her brain started to psycho-analyse everything that had happened today and she began to self-destruct.
"Oh right okay so you see a boy stalk you in a bakery, follow you to your safe-place, and then invite you out until late at night where he could rape or kidnap you... yeah really clever Lottie!! Way to get yourself killed you dipshit!"
"Even if he was a decent person, once he learns who you really are, he's going to shatter you and leave you behind like a worthless piece of nothing, just like every other sane person would. You're a freak... you think you're happy now? Well it's all gonna go downhill from here."
"You can hear me. You have voices in your head. You're fucking mental. Good luck with being 'normal'. You'll need a fucking brain transplant before you even got close to being normal."
"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!" She whisper-screamed and gripped her head between her sweaty palms. "You're the fucked one, not me!! It's not my fault you're dysfunctional!!"
"Oh but sweetie, it is your fault."
