I was woken up by my cell phone ringing. I rolled over on my back and looked at the time before I answered it. It was about 10am. I sat up in bed and answered it. It was Nielsa asking if i'd wanted to go out to breakfast with her. With nothing huge planned for the day I agreed.

I slipped out if bed and into the shower then got dressed. I was surprised Jeremih hadn't woken up in all the commotion and decided to let him know where I was going before I went.

"Baby." I shook Jerey slightly. He fluttered his eyes opened and smiled at me.

"You look pretty, where are you going?" He yawned. I brushed his cheek with the back of my hand. "Im going out to breakfast with a friend."

"It better be a girl." He joked.

I laughed and kissed him. "Trust me baby, your the only man I would ever eat breakfast with."

He smiled and kissed me again. "Bring me back some food?"

"Duh."

"Hey nice seeing you again girl." I got into the convertible shed driven to pick me up and got in. Nielsa smiled at me and started pulling the car out the parking deck. "Yea, you too. So you got anywhere in particular you want to head to?"

"Nah, where ever's fine, just not Aunty Jay's they give my boyfriend gas and I have to bring him back something to eat."

"Boyfriend? Girl you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend."

"Yea actually," I laughed and dug in my purse for my wallet to show her a picture of him. "Have a picture."

"Ohh he's a cutie."

"Yea and we've been strong for a 4 years now."

"Awh thats sweet."

Nielsa and I found a spot a couple blocks from the board walk to eat at. It was a fairly large shop but due to it being earlier in the morning, the place want inhabited to it full extent. We were quickly led to a small booth where we picked up conversation on ourselves.

"So with your boyfriend, four years is a long time. Is marriage in the picture?"

"Yea four years is, and thats only being official, we were close friends for a while." I chuckled. "But marraige? No where near it." I didn't know if I wanted to get into marraige at such a young age. I was 22, in school and trying to better myself. I was doing good and focused and I didn't want anything in the way of that. Plus I always lived with the fear of him being taken away from me...

"What? Why not?"

I rubbed the back of my neck and sighed. "I don't know its just, at the moment everything is calm. He's doing what he thinks will better his future and so am I. Married would just be to much."

"I see, I see. You see my boyfriend Enrique and I plan to get married as soon as I finish the school year. Im gonna move him and my son, Julio down so we can finally have a good stable life." The expression on her changed. "So we finally wont have to worry." she added silently.

"You were poor in Puerto Rico?" I asked curiously. Over the period of yesterday I would've thought if her family had enough money to send her to school then they were well off financially.

"Yes very poor. Some nights would pass and we wouldn't even eat. On top of it After Julio was born I couldn't work so it was up to Enrique to get money and provide for the three of us."

"If you don't mind me asking, how could you afford school."

"I don't mind, you see one day my grandfather called me to come here to the city to visit him. When I told him I couldn't because of my financial situation he immediately sent me envelope with a note an airplane ticket and 10,000 dollars.
