I was on the streets of Shizume city, a cold winter night.

The snow was nothing more than a white dust of wind that blew over the layer of thin ice left over from a cold rain that froze on the ground.

I sat on the ground, my back against the cold hard wall of a café.

My knees tucked in my chest as much as possible, trying to get as warm as I can. Crossing my arms as a belt so my legs won't get tired.

The wind blew making my metal teeth sting from the bitter cold, my whole body shivered as I tried to hid in my own body. I started to think how I got here, the lab, what happened to me.

And how everything ended up me being alone on the streets.

My biggest fear came true, being all alone, no one to go to.

Because of the cold and time, nobody was out and about.

So I felt more pressure of my fear closing in on my chest making it hard to breath.

I whimpered and whined as the cold nibbled at my skin.

Wishing I at least had a blanket.

I was caught off guard when I heard footsteps.

Coming far down the sidewalk.

I became scared, what if they were going to take everything I had?

My clothes and the three dollars I found blowing freely in the wild wind?

Maybe they wouldn't see me and go on their marry way to a warm home with their family.

*Tick. Tick. Tick.*

The shoes hit the ground as it became Louder, and more clear.

I didn't move, didn't breathe.

I was nothing but a wall.

*Tick. Tick. Ti- sheak!*

I heard the steps stop and their shoe slide on the hard ground.

I can feel their eyes burning through the top of my head.

I slowly looked up, not sure what to expect or who to expect... I saw a tall man, lively purple eyes and dark blue hair like the waves of the dark ocean after sundown.

He pushed his glasses up, "it's a bit cold to not have a jacket on." He said.

"And to not be inside." He said, his deep voice like a smooth base guitar.

I didn't know what to say, what to do. My mouth opened anyway, "I-um. . ." I looked away from the man.

I heard his jacket swoosh, I looked to see what he was doing.

His hand was outstretched to me. He had a perfect smile on his face, not saying a word but his eyes told a thousand stories. I reached out my cold, shaking hand and grabbed his warm one.

My hand burning from his warmth.
