Chapter 2: run baby run

Annalise POV:
2017

" you know you can't keep running sweat heart" a man called from the darkness. For years this man has been chasing me.

" you know he is waiting for you he has been waiting for you for years " . I was starving I felt so weak, I collapsed behind a house Crying and breathing heavily, I was safe for now but I couldn't help but think.

1864:

" hehe Aiden stop it if father hears he will kill us both" I said laughing, he was tickling me on my bed, we have grown so close these past few weeks I feel so comfortable with him.

" what if I don't want to stop" he started smirking , I hadn't realised that he was now on top of me he kept tickling me.

" stop please " I screamed out. I can't stand being tickled.

" what will you do for me " he replied .

" anything just stop " i started laughing again.

" okay then " he said a looked at me straight into my eyes. I stared for a moment thinking how beautiful his eyes were and suddenly I fell into a trance." don't move , don't scream" I felt numb I couldn't move I started to feel unsafe.

" Aiden what's happening" I said in fear, he moved his head to my neck he brushed his lips over it and started kissing it softly and I moaned it felt good but the fact that I was pinned against my will and couldn't move still frightened me, he then moaned too.

" shhh baby it's gonna be okay " he touched my face tenderly , thoughts were running through my head. He put his head back to my neck and I felt a sharp burning pain, he was biting me I couldn't move or scream, why is he biting me what the hell is he?. I felt weak he was draining my blood from my body and tears were running down my face the pain was unbelievable ,he stopped and looked at me. He bit into his wrist and made me drink from it , warm copper filled my mouth I wanted to gag but it made me feel better, my neck started to heal he then tried to comfort me " shhh baby everything is okay " he was stroking my head I cried I was so scared.

" w .. what are you " I stuttered , he brushed a tear that slipped to my cheek. I was afraid of the answer he was going to give me.

" I am a vampire " I cried even harder. I have heard my father talking about creature with the name vampire when he is in his secret meetings I just thought he was crazy. They are real I don't want him to hurt me again." sweetheart look at me " he brought his hand to my face and I looked at him he looked deep into my eyes. I was in a trance again
"

you are not afraid of me " I felt instantly calm , I stopped crying and he looked at me with a look that I have never seen before, it was deep and kind, caring and compassionate. Maybe he didn't want to hurt me maybe he couldn't help it?
" I know i have only spent a short amount of time with you but I think ... I think I am falling in love with you. I know you were afraid before I never want to hurt you ever "I looked at him with surprise my heart was racing I was confused but also happy , could he really love me?. He lean't forward our lips only inches apart I could feel his hand cup my face and then he crashed his lips on mine. That was the day I felt loved , I felt alive.

Flash back over:

I layed against the house holding my mouth so no sound would come out. He can't get me I am not going back , I have been on the run for ages I can't quit now.

" little Annalise come on he is waiting for you remember he loves you " the man yelled out, he is getting closer I ran as fast as I could. I turned into an ally way in a town I am not familiar with well it looks different here as I haven't been back for years. I found an old building and I collapsed on the cold hard concrete I had lost him, I felt so weak that I passed out.

Flash back:
The town smelt like fire and smoke , my brothers were gone and so was my father I have no idea where they went. I heard screaming and running, I turned to see Aiden.

" Aiden what's going on " he looked at me and his loving expression turned into and a scary one, he grabbed me and I whimpered. Why is he doing this? is he going to hurt me ? He looked me in the eyes. I was in a trance again

" you are going to run and you will scream be afraid of me" he said I was going to asked why until I realised he had his fangs out and he was ready to kill he was going to kill me , I ran as fast as I could I screamed I heard him behind me I was crying why Auden why are you doing this to me. He caught me and I tried to get out of his grip but it was no use was done for.

" why are you doing this I thought you loved me " I cried

" oh baby I will always love you but in order for us to be together you must die" his fangs were out.

"Die" i replied trying so hard to get out of his grip I was pleading for him not to do anything stupid. He bit my neck , I screamed out in pain I screamed stop but he wouldn't stop, I was fading into darkness I felt myself getting weak and then I was dead in his arms. Then somtime later I awoke and was turned into a vampire, I was confused but I remember he made me drunk from him last night I had to make the decision to feed or die , I fed but ran I have been on the run for ages to get away from Him but he never stops looking.
