Watch as I introduce yet more plot holes. And then contemplate doing a hiatus once I get to a point of conclusion. Because I've had a good idea for another story but I need to finish this first. I'll probably finish this first. |an|
She'll kill them all.
She'll kill them all and it will be my fault. She can, this time there's no way out. Think Arthur, think! She's lying, she must be lying, she'll kill us all anyway?But..
She's my sister.
She's my sister and, no matter what I can't help but love her. I have to believe that she's giving me this chance because she loves me too. But does she- anymore? Is any of Morgana left in there? I doubt it, but I have to believe somehow. There must be- she wants the best for this Kingdom all in all.
She will unite us.
She will unite the two sides of our community, probably better than I have tried to do, she is a sorceress after all. She's seen it all, she has so much experience and she's a natural leader. Am I anymore?
I don't believe in myself.
I don't believe I'm fit to rule anymore. I let my vision be clouded and I've lost my sister and the woman I used to love. I've gone against everything my father worked so hard to build and I've failed to rebuild this Kingdom how I wish it could be.
I can bring my sister back. I'll give her what she wants and I'll make sure she knows that I will never cast her aside again. Wether I live or die.
I'll take her hand.
Merlin will be fine. My knights will be fine. My friends will be fine.
Maybe she's broken me anyway, I just haven't realised yet.
Just take her hand.

Merlin had dreamt it, or something. It wasn't a vision- he wasn't a seer, but it was almost an instinct. A will. Maybe a connection he had with Arthur. Either way, he had known, despite the wracking nightmare along with it, that Arthur had to wake up. He'd had to.
Too bad he hadn't been able to prepare for or prevent the events that unfolded before his eyes.
"No!" Merlin hollered despite being only a metre or so from the scene. His cry split the chilled morning air, Merlin almost felt a breeze kick up in its wake- he would hardly be surprised if it had really.
There was surely nothing that could surprise him after this.
Suddenly the camp was awake.
Percival was closest, and, while Merlin was still in shock, attempted to barrel into Morgana who held out a hand and thrust the bear off of her. Merlin caught the golden glint in the early morning light.
Percival hit the ground hard but a Knights training meant he went straight into a break fall and rolled back to his feet as Elyan and Gwaine got to their own and Leon instinctively sheilded the two children.
Merlin couldn't think straight. Did he face Morgana? Or just keep running? Always running. Why were they always running?!
The warlock scrambled to his feet in the chaos, looking only for Arthur, whom he soon found back in Morganas grip. The King had a pained expression, though Morgana held him lightly. He was conflicted, no wonder, Merlin thought- I hope he realises that was a bad decision. Did Arthur really think Merlin couldn't take Morgana? Or, probably the real reason Arthur had taken Morganas hand, he would rather die than lose us. Merlin briefly met eyes with Morgana, she looked down on him with a triumph that Merlin couldn't let her get away with. She turned and fled into the trees, a dazed Arthur stumbling behind her.
