Rani sat listening to her professor talk. Whenever he would give lectures like he was today, class would seem to go on forever. No one ever really paid attention because he would have a video for them to watch that would give them the same information that they needed.
She knew that if she didn't have the right information she would never get to go back to Dortmund. Don't get her wrong, she thought that München was a nice place but she wanted to get back to Dortmund to be with Marco.
When they finally got out of class, she walked outside to see it raining and smiled. The rain reminded her of Dortmund. Rani walked to her car so she could go home and decided the she would call Marco and talk to him on the way home.
"Hey Marco."
"Hey Rani. I'm taking it you just got out of class?"
"Yes. And I am reminded of Dortmund because it is raining and I wanted to talk to you."
"Well you called at a good time training just finished and I had nothing to do. Now I can talk to you. I miss you Rani."
"I miss you too. I wish I was still in Dortmund."
"Just a few more months and you will test out because I know that you are smart enough to do that. I know you are Rani. I wish I was able to be there with you, but I have to stay here for physical therapy if I want to go to the World Cup next year."
"I hope you don't get injured again. I want to see you win the World Cup and actually be able to play. And not get injured your first match back from injury."
"You know. I am hoping that too, and I hope that you could be there for me too. I want you to be in Russia with me. I want you to be there watching me play. I want to have my biggest cheerleader there. I don't want to have to invite Christian since they got knocked out of the World Cup." Marco Laughed. (That hurt to write.)
"I will be there. I wouldn't make Christian come. He has to be upset because he did som much for his country."
"Well. My mom is at my house. I best go. I love you Rani."
"I love you too Marco. Tell your mom I said hi. I'll see you when I can."
They both hung up the phone just as Rani got to her house. She walked in side and was met with her little dog, who she named Marco. She was lonely so she got a dog and decided to name it Marco. She patted the little dog on the head before walking to the kitchen. She sat in the kitchen contemplating what she was going to eat. She kept getting distracted by pictures that she had around of Marco and his teammates.
She had a week until her next lecture class which were the only ones that she had to show up to and she started to get an idea.
"Roman I need you to listen to me."
"I'm listening Rani."
"Are you around Marco at the moment, or will you be soon."
"No some of the other guys are going out with him after he gets done talking to his mother, but I am staying in for the night."
"Good. I have an idea to surprise him."
"Oooo. What is the surprise?" Roman asked sounding like a two year old.
"You cannot tell him."
"I know. That is how a surprise works. Now what is it?"
"I have a week until my next lecture class which are the ones that I have to show up to, and I am starting to feel lonely around here. So I was thinking I could fly back and surprise him during training or something?"
