I pulled into work just in time, 7:25; classes start at 7:30. Like usual I picked up my backpack and phone then I unbuckled my seatbelt, got out of the car and walked into the school.

A few students said hello to me in the hallway while I was walking into the library.

"Good morning." I said to my coworker Mrs. Brown

The rest of the day went by in the blink of an eye. I stayed at school until 2:50 when I went to pick up Mariah because it's raining she has to walk to practice. I pulled into her cracked driveway and sent her a quick text to let her know I was outside:

I'm here.

Within a few seconds of me sending the text I saw Mariah fly out of the front door of her apartment building. She hopped off the front step, put her bat bag in the backseat and then she slid in the front.

"Ready for practice?" I smiled

"Yes, I love practice, even if we have to do burpees!" Mariah laughed.

See, Mariah does burpees in a different kind of way... Like if a kangaroo had babies with a rock, she'd be the product; that's how funny it looks when she does burpees!

"So, listen to this, the t-shirt people want us to order the shirts before we see the artwork on them, and I flipped out and I may have gotten someone fired." I told her

"Wow, that's stupid, we should get to see what we're paying for." Mariah said

"Yeah exactly" I said as we were pulling into the high school; time for practice.

We got out of the car, Mariah got her bat back out of the back seat and helped me get the gear from my trunk.

I clicked my car's remote and it let out a high pitched cry, to let us know it was locked. We dragged the equipment into the school where two other team members, Luna and Kaila (KI-LA) took over.

"Let's take this stuff to the B gym and then you'll go on your run!" I said when the team was relatively close.

It took about three minutes to get down to the B gym and another 5 to have the basketball hoops raised so we wouldn't shatter them with our 'oh so great' throws and our 'outstanding' catches.

"Ok, Mariah, Kaila and Lani, lead the run; we're going around the school twice!" I yelled so everyone would focus. That's one of our main issues, focusing, on softball only.

"Line up. Two lines ladies!" I heard Kaila conducting the team

While they were running I picked up my HFL colored clipboard and took the list of what we were going to work on off of it. Within a few minutes the team burst through the gym doors.

"Circle up, let's stretch!" Mariah yelled the girls stretched and talked however, there was more talking than stretching as usual!

Once we got to actually practicing it went by pretty quick. Before I knew it I was back home, half a sleep with Scout by my side. I leaned over to my nightstand, took my phone off the charger and sent a quick group text to the team:

Girls... We are AWAY at Canandaigua today. Not sure what time our bus is yet but be ready for a 3:00 bus. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything:)

As soon as I was done with the text I reconnected my phone to the charger and fell into a deep sleep.
