Sam hasn't spoken to her friends in two months. Other than Bill and Bev, Stan was the only one she has spoke to. Even with her talking to Stan, it was only about three times when she randomly saw him around Derry.

She was sitting on the couch with her older brother, eating ice cream and watching reruns of Three's Company.

"Jack is so irresponsible sometimes. Janet does everything!" Sam said, rolling her eyes. Her brother nodded, also rolling his eyes. Sam sighed, stuffing an other spoonful of ice cream into her mouth.

Ice cream has basically become her comfort food after the absence of Richie in her life. She really appreciated her brother Sean being there for her too. As soon as she came home with puffy eyes, he questioned her until she cracked. Once he found out what Richie said to her, he made her some tea and let her cry into his shoulder.

Sean hasn't left her side since. Buying her more ice cream every time she ran out, and let her watch whatever she wanted on TV. Nobody objected seeing as her mom and dad both understood how hard losing her friends must be. Her other brother was never home anyway, so her always getting the remote didn't bug him.

There was a knock at the door, Sam began to stand up but Sean held a hand up.

"I've got it." He said, Sam merely replied with a smile.

Sean opened the door, revealing Richie, looking at his shoes, he looked up slightly and his eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw the angry look on her older brother's face.

I guess I forgot to mention... Sean wasn't only 16, but he was a football player. He was a pretty scary guy, no matter how big of a teddy bear he actually was.

"Sean? Who is it?" Sam asked slowly, basically seeing the held back rage at whoever stood on the other side.

"It's Tozier..." Sean answered as nicely as he could, which still wasn't very nicely. Sam's breath hitched, she quickly walked over to her brother.

She gently touched his arm, he looked down at her and she smiled slightly. "It's okay, I'll handle it." Sean looked like he was about to say something else, but nodded a little. He glared a Richie one more time before walking away and to his room.

"Come in..." Sam said quietly, gesturing for him to enter.

"I uh- Thanks..."

They sat on the couch, Richie immediately noticed the tissues and ice cream cartons scattered on the coffee table.

"Sam I-"

"Save it Richie. I'm fine." She said quietly.

"No, Sam look. I came for a reason."

"And what would that be?" She said, still speaking quietly as she brought her knees to her chest.

"Beverly."

"What about her? You moved on from me and think that she's everything I'm not? Well that makes sense-" She continued sarcastically, joking at the wrong time as always, but Richie cut her off.

"It got her...  The clown Sam, It got Bev. And Bill sent me to get you. We are going to get her."

Sam put a hand to her mouth, shock rushing through her. Her and Beverly had grown really close over the summer, especially the last two months. Whenever Sean couldn't be there for Sam, Beverly had been there for her in a heartbeat.

"Sean! Sean I have to go! I'll be back later!" She yelled, not wasting any time to stand up and run to the door, getting on her bike. Richie closely following.

As they two of them were riding, suddenly Richie pumped his breaks. Sam noticed and did the same.

"What Richie?"

"You know, This happening with Beverly... It got me thinking about how it would be if that happened to you. I just wanted you to know, that I would do whatever it took to find you. If you went missing I don't know what I would-"

"Stop Richie." Sam cut him off harshly. Richie seemed taken aback by this, but before he could say anything, Sam continued. "Don't act all lovey dovey towards me as if none of this ever happened. You say that you wouldn't know what you would do if I went missing? Well the last words you told me before you shoved your way out of my life were; 'If you want to get killed, go right ahead, I won't miss ya!'"

The guilt was visible on Richie's face, but Sam didn't feel any regret over what she said to him.

"Sam you know I-"

"Shutup Tozier! Don't start with that stupid cliché crap about how you didn't mean it! Because you and I both know DEAD well that something like that can't just be taken back. No matter what you say to me, I won't forget this Richie. And your extremely lucky if you ever get a chance with me again after that."

Richie opened his mouth as if he was about to say something but Sam kept talking.

"Funny thing is, I actually started to like you. No scratch that Richie! I had fallen for you! You reduced me to a lovesick idiot who just got shot down! So if you think this" She gestured between them. "will ever happen, then you need to come back to reality Richie! You broke my heart, you get that? So don't even try!" She finished, inhaling deeply at the end. It was clear she had been holding that in for a long time.

"Come on. Beverly needs us." She sighed out, starting to pedal her bike again.

Richie didn't say anything, he fought with all his might to stop tears from flowing from his eyes. He hadn't realized he broke Sam's heart, but she sure as rain just broke his...
