Yuvell's Pov

After walking for a while, we end up in front of Reiji's door. Right now everything is silent, from when he opens the door to us walking in.

Wow his room is actually pretty nice. His room is very simple for the most part. He has a large bookcase filled with books and over at his desk, he has a lot of scattered papers and some test tubes. Hmm, so we have a bookworm/scientist.

"Please, have a seat." Reiji fix his glasses and walks over to his desk. I settle myself down on one of the couches and take another look around his room. While looking, I just noticed that there was a tea set on his desk on a nice fancy tray.

"Would you like one or two sugar cubes?" Reiji turns around holding some sugar cubes with his clean gloved hands.

"Oh...um two please." I said with uncertainty. Reiji nods and puts the sugar in and stirs it with a small spoon.

Tea? I thought I was in trouble...

"Now, about your actions..."

"Please explain to me why you acted that way during dinner." Reiji said and I scratch the back of my head thinking on what I should say.

"Well, you know.... I did it cause.... it's Laito."

Reiji grabs the tray and walks over to me. "That's not a very clear reason." Reiji said giving me a slight glare while handing me my cup. I mumble a quick thank you and look up at him again. Reiji nodded and places the tray down. After, he sat in the chair across me.

"You know what? How about I did it because I can." I said smiling at him and gave him a small wink.  Reiji grew an irk and deepened his glare.

"Because the universe told me to?"

"No."

"Because I wanted to?"

"Yuvell!"

"Ok ok! I felt uncomfortable with Laito being around her! He's a pervert and it's my job to protect her!!" I yelled and put my arms out in a frustrated manner still holding the tea. It instantly grew silent and Reiji's eyes softened a little.

"Why should you feel responsible for her? What did she ever do to you in return for this service?" I lean back in my chair and look to the side.

"*sigh* I don't know, I guess I do it because I want to. Aside from Alex, she... she's all I have. She makes my crappy days sometimes. If I don't protect her.... she'll easily be trampled. " I said in a quiet voice and lower my gaze to the cup in my hands.

"I mean, yeah she's dense, but she's not a bad person. And what did she ever do to me? She did everything. She saved me so many times in so many ways that you wouldn't understand." I said bringing the cup to my lips.

*Hiss!* (Wait!)

"Hm?" I lower the cup and look down at Alex giving him a questioning look. I'm not sure if I saw correctly, but out of the corner of my eye I think I saw Reiji harden his glare. Alex slithers out of my jacket, goes around my neck and lowers himself down and hovers above the tea cup. He sticks out his tongue and gets a little dip of the tea. This whole time Reiji was quiet and didn't even mutter a sound. Alex soon started to rattle and bared his fangs at Reiji.
