Y/N P.O.V

I was walking to the bakery so I could grab a quick snack before I head off to school. Ninjjago city is big but finding my way to anywhere seems even tougher. Curse this problem. Ever since that accident when I was five, I have not been able to speak. I miss mom so much. She would have found been there to comfort me. My dad tries his best and I do feel good. My brother also tries but what can I say. Oh wait... I can't speak.

I look around and stop. I reach an unfamiliar location. 'Where am I? ' I think that I have no choice but to ask someone for directions. I walk up to this group of people who we're standing close by. I tap the shoulder of one wearing a black hoodie.

Cole P.O.V

I was talking to the ninja about some crime that had recently occurred. Then I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turn around and see this very beautiful young girl. "Hi there! What can I do for you? "I kindly ask. The others probably left because it became really quiet. I look at her and see she was thinking, struggling to speak. "Everything alright? "I question her. She seemed to get an idea because she took out her phone and started typing. Man her eyes are gorgeo -WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! I just met her. Then she held up her phone. It had something typed on so I read it.

'Hi! I am Y/N. I was wondering if you could tell me the directions to the bakery.'

I look back at her and smile. I wanted a cake too! "Well... Why didn't ya just say so? "I asked playfully and regretted it a second later. Her smile turned upside down and she almost cried. Am I really that dumb? She took her phone back and typed.

'Because I can't. '

"I am so sorry. I am Cole. Come on let's get you to a bakery and now that I think of it I want cake too! "I say as goofily as I can. She smiled. And I held her hand and started walking.

Y/N P.O.V

He took my hand and started walking. Once we touched I could feel a blush coming up. We then reach the bakery. Then smell of cake was so heavenly. We walk in and I run to the counter. Then I realize in needed Cole's help. He semmed so nice and kinda looks handso- ughh really? I just met him. He probably thinks I am weird. He walks to me and I point out to the chocolate cake I wanted. "2 slices of chocolate cake please. " man his voice is so attractive and his hair. I love how soft it looks. I wanna touch it. Omg what am I thinking. He won't like me back. I can't even tell him I like him and- did I admit I like him.

I was lost in thoughts that I didn't realize Cole took the cake and got me to a nearby table.

Cole P.O.V

I look at Y/N as she sits down. She looks so cute when she gets excited. And her smile is like a trip to heaven. I was curious how does she talk or communicate to people. "Hey Y/N... Um don't take this in the wrong way, but how do you communicated to others? " I could feel that I was red because she started giggling. Awww she was so cute. And a bit hot. But how do I tell her I like her, oh mi lord. I like her! She took out her phone and started typing. It said

'Well I use sigh language with close people. But I use my life saving phone for new people. Seems convenient '

She is smart. Using her phone to communicate. That is one more good thing about her. "Ohh nice. Hey I have an idea. I mean now that we are friends... Um are we?" I say looking at her. She smiles and nods. "Thanks. I was wondering if you could teach me sign language. Sounds interesting and I think it will help me understand what you say. " her face lights up. She gives me a thumbs up. Then she shows me a few other sign. Me being in my current state was blank. She got her phone and started typing

'Your classes begin now'

Y/N P.O.V

Cole and I spend the day together. Me teaching him basic sign language. He seems so determined to do it. I think he likes this. He seems different but I can't tell how. "Hey Y/N. Will you fan girl if I tell you that I am a ninja? " he asks. I just give him a big smile and shake my head no. Then I show him 'we will always be friends'. He seemed to understand because he showed 'forever'. It was becoming dark and I started feeling cold. Cole looked at me and said"hey are you feeling cold? " I nod. "Well you can have my jacket."he says removing his jacket and me shaking and symboling no at the same time. Once he wrapped it around me, he grabbed my shoulders and made me look at him. I did and we both we're red as tomatoes.

He then looked at me straight in the eyes and started speaking. "Y/N... I know we just met but these few hours we're the best in my life. You make me feel free and I get this feeling around you that I just can't hold back now. You are so beautiful and you have got such a good heart. I can't stop staring at those gorgeous eyes and I think I am falling for you. Falling hard for you. I think I am in love with you. " he ends letting go of me and looking at the grass below. I want to say it back but nothing comes out. So I tap his shoulder. Once he faces me, I launch myself onto him and kiss his cheek. He then pulled apart and had a huge smile on his face. We then get up and start walking. Holding hands. Once we are outside the park I stop, stopping him too. He looks back and I tell him through my phone

' I don't think I love you, because I know I do. '

"I do too. " then he pulls me by my waist as my haves rest on his chest. With one hand he grabs my face and comes closer. Then we meet. Our lips moving together. The world didn't care to me anymore. His lips may be a bit rough but they took me to a different world. I forgot that I ever had a problem. He cleared my mind and we just stood there kissing. I never thought a day like this would come. Then we pull apart.

He then speaks

"That can be our way to communicate."
