Hello again! Just a heads up, I have low key been obsessed with Todoroki as of late. So.. that would explain the ratio of chapters with him compared with other characters (sorry not sorry) :P

In this chapter, you are a student with  a quirk that allows you to put yourself in someone else's shoes. You are telepathic, and can feel physically and emotionally what someone else is feeling just by looking at them. I've decided to call this quirk, Empathy. (Please comment if you have any other ideas!) Your brain is your biggest weapon. Since your quirk is not very efficient for combat, you have set out to be a hero who mainly helps people in emergencies and accidents, a bit like Recovery Girl and Thirteen combined, because you are able to feel what others feel, which is useful for diagnosing injured or sick people, and those in need of help during times of panic.

This chapter begins right before when the commotion in Hosu City begins, with the Nomus and Stain.

Your POV

"...and so it is important for heroes with quirks such as ours to be able to be just as competent in combat as during disasters. You never know what situations you may get put into while on the job as a hero," Thirteen finishes. I came to Thirteen for my internship, as they were a hero I looked up to a lot. Needless to say I was extremely happy that they made me an offer. I was so excited that I couldn't sit still for the rest of the day. I could learn a lot from them. I nodded as a sign of me paying attention.

So far this week, we've learnt roughly what to do in different types of situations. For example, if some one was trapped under a piece of rubble (personally I'd just call Uraraka-chan), or if someone was severely injured, stuff like that. We've also been practising a lot of hand to hand combat with the other heroes in Thirteen's agency.

I was practising a move when Thirteen said, "keep practising guys, I just have to take this call," and waddled off. Soon enough, I heard my own phone go off with a ping!

I'll check it once I'm finished practising, I thought, I need to improve. The girl I was practising next to heard my phone too, and said to me with a grin, "boyfriend? Your phone has been going off like crazy the few days we've been here."

"WHaT?! Oh no, no, you've got the wrong idea, I don't have a boyfriend!" I replied, waving my hands in front of me. My entire fighting stance instantly fell apart and I got so flustered that my cheeks were burning like they were on fire. You know who else's cheek sets on fire? Shoto's.

Oh, my God, we're just friends, how can I think that?!!

For some reason he instantly popped into my head when the girl said the word, 'boyfriend.' The thought of him in that moment made my cheeks get even hotter which I didn't think was humanly possible. Maybe blushing is my second quirk. That would explain a lot.

Shoto and I are pretty close nowadays. You wouldn't have thought so, we are so different in personality and character. I'm not even clear on how we got to know each other either to be honest. I just know that we did, and I'm happy we did. He opened up to me a lot right after the sports tournament, it felt like a wall between us came down. I suppose I have Midoriya to thank for that. We were always on friendly terms previously, but he always closed himself off the moment I thought we were becoming better friends. But nowadays, we always message each other to check up on each other, and to tell each other what's been going on. We even hang out and eat together during school. We've texted a lot lately, and since he went to his father's agency, he keeps me updated on how things are going. Do I like Shoto in that way?... No.. I just enjoy his company.. Yeah.. It's because of this girl mentioning me having a  boyfriend that I'm blushing.

"Whatever you say," the girl turned back around with a smirk. We both returned to practising, her with a smirk and me still looking like a tomato.

Thirteen walked back into the room, with a sudden sense of urgency, unlike before. "Everyone, there is a villain attack on Hosu City. They are requesting emergency help. I am not forcing any of you to come with me, however you are welcome to. From the information I have received, you will be safe as long as you stay by my side, or with my sidekicks. Decide quickly, we are leaving now."

I didn't even have to think. I'm definitely going. This is my chance to help people.

Shoto's POV

(The beginning of his POV is literally taken from the anime, I do not own it)

"Where are we going? To do what?" I ask my father.

"If this incident follows precedent, then the hero killer will appear in Hosu City again. We will go to Hosu for a business trip and work there."

No matter how much of a scumbag he is, I had to appreciate the judgement and instincts of the man called the number two hero. Everything was so simple. But even though it was simple, I didn't see it.

(Okay from here onwards I wrote xD)

Even with (Y/N), she's been there since the start, being someone I could rely on since the beginning. But I didn't truly see her either. Even though she was always able to make my day better. I didn't show it, but when talking to her in school I found myself occasionally forgetting about my father. In those moments, I was just, me. I'm grateful to Midoriya, for helping me see things clearly again.

I wonder how (Y/N)'s internship is going. She was really excited to go, from what I remember. She couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. It was kinda cute actually. Wait what.

Shoto, just grab your things and go, there's an attack going on right now.

I gathered my things and left the house, on my way to Hosu City. I'll message (Y/N) once I'm sat in the car.

A/N wow I didn't realise how long this was until I looked up at the word count. I guess I'll be splitting this into multiple parts then, I'll try make them more exciting than this one, this was more of an introduction. :)
