Inuyasha's POV
As I was thinking, I smelled an all too familiar lavender scent, and sighed in content.
I jumped off the tree branch, and landed next to Kagome. I knew she was wanting to talk about earlier.
I sat down under the tree, and waited for her to sit down next to me. Once she was seated, she rested her head on my shoulder.
I looked down at her. God she was so beautiful. I knew it after we had met, but now, she seems to be even more pretty.
I layed my head on hers, and took in her scent. Damn I love her scent. I love everything about her. Her smile, her laugh, the sparkle in her eyes, her smell, her soul, but most of all, her heart. Just all of her. I love her.
Kagome's POV
As me and Inuyasha sat on the ground, I couldn't help but think of everything we've been through, up to this moment.
All the fights, the tears, the smiles, the laughs... All of our best moments together.. From the very beginning when we met to now.. Who would've thought we would actually finally be able to be like this together.
"Inuyasha?"
He keeps his head on mine, as I try to think of how I want to form my words.
"Are you mad?" I asked, knowing I was definitely going to get a lecture.
I heard him sigh as he put his arm around me, holding me to him a little closer.
"You shouldn't have run up to her like that Kagome. Not when we still didn't know if it was a trick. Damn Kagome, what if it had been? You could've been kidnapped!"
I knew that was coming...
"I know Inuyasha.. I'm sorry. I know I should've listened, but it was Kaede. She was hurt and needed us."
"I know Kagome.. I know." He clutched me to him tighter. "Which is why I'm not mad at you... That much.."
I looked up at him.
"I am still mad at you, but I'm not as mad as I usually would've been. Because you were just following your heart and instincts." Inuyasha gave me a sad smile.
I turned around, getting onto my knees and put my arms around his neck, my head on his right shoulder, hugging him tightly.
He seemed a little surprised at first, but then hugged me back.
We stayed like that for a few moments.
I pulled my head back just a little looking deep into his eyes, I wondered what he was thinking about, he had a distant worried look on his face, as if he was trying to hide it from me.
I leaned down and pressed my lips down to his. As he kissed me back, his arms encircled me, holding me to him even tighter and closer than before, as if he was afraid that this would be the last time he would be with me like this.
