INUYASHA'S POV
It was late at night and everyone was asleep but me.
I couldn't sleep knowing someone is after Kagome so I stayed up and kept watch.
I watched Kagome as she was sleeping, her breathing slow and even. Shippo cuddled up next to her sleeping with her like he always does.
I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
Why would anyone want Kagome? And who the hell is it?! And what the hell does he want with her?!? Just thinking about it makes me mad. Knowing that someone is out there plotting ways of getting the girl that I love infuriates me. I swear once I get my hands on them I'm gonna...
My thoughts were interrupted by Miroku's voice saying, "Hey, what are you doing still awake?"
I kept my eyes on Kagome. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I was afraid that if I did, even for just a second, she'll be taken away from me.
"Worried about your girlfriend?" Miroku asked me, walking then sitting down next to me.
"Heh. You're smarter than I thought." I replied, a little rudely.
He just gave me a look of concern. Even though I wasn't looking at him, I could still see it in the corner of my eye.
"I know you're worried about Kagome so I'll let that one slide." He said understandingly. "What would they want with Kagome?"
"Beats me, but as soon as I find who and why, I would make them regret even thinking about messing with her." I said, trying to keep my voice low, but failing by a little.
I saw Kagome stir a little in her sleep, then quieted down, hoping I didn't wake her. She turned over to her other side and continued sleeping.
I breathed a sigh of relief, thankful I didn't wake her up.
Miroku just sat there quietly, not saying a word. I'm guessing cause he figured talking about it will only get me angry as hell.
"So... You and Kagome, huh?" He said, waving his eyebrows at me.
"Yeah, what about it?" Obviously he's trying to change the subject.
"Was it you who made the first move or Kagome?" He asked. I sighed. He clearly wasn't going to let this go.
"I did."
"And that obviously went smoothly. Did you plan to do it or did it just happen?"
"It just happened. I wasn't planning on doing anything too be honest." I kept my eyes on Kagome.
"And did you guys?? You know?" He asked, sounding a little perverted.
"What?! No! Of course not! It.. It's none of your damn business anyway!!" I whisper-yelled to him in response.
"Alright, alright. I'll let it go now. Night Inuyasha." He said, walking back to where he was sleeping before.
I sighed again.
I want more than anything to be able to protect Kagome. And I want to make her happy.
But how can I do both of those things at once? She didn't even do what I told her to today.
She could've been killed!!
The Next Morning
Kagome's pov
When I woke up, I saw everyone was still currently asleep. I looked around to see if Inuyasha was asleep anywhere. When I realized he wasn't, I decided to go look for him, already knowing I'm heading straight towards a lecture.
Inuyasha's POV
I was sitting in the tree, me and Kagome usually sat at together. I couldn't stop thinking about what Kaede said when she told Kagome to run.
It takes a lot to scare the old hag, believe me I know, so I know that whoever is after Kagome, is far far more dangerous than we ever dealt with before.
But what could he or she possibly want with her?
I am so so so so sorry it's late guys!! But hey I added more to the last chapter and added one as well! There is a lot more to be coming!! And I know my spelling and grammar was horrible before but you know, I was younger and sucked at english.
I am adding more right now as you read this so expect a lot more! The story is definitely going to get more interesting!!
Whats in store for Inuyasha and Kagome? And who wants Kagome and why??
