Chapter 2: Rosa POV
Today is the day! Sean's birthday and the day I will be asking him! Omg I'm so scared. I have literally no idea what he will say. Yes? No? Maybe so? This is so frustrating but exciting.
When I walked to the lockers, I was a bit late and it was only Sean and I outside. "Perfect," I thought right up until my smile turned into a frown when our headmaster, Mrs. Smith told us to hurry up and get to class. I settled on locker break.
After two long periods, I decided it was time to ask him. I waited for everyone to go inside and then once again, it seemed like fate, Sean and I were alone.
But this interruption was worse - it was Cara! UGH. When would I ask Sean? I promised myself AND Mik that I would ask him TODAY.
I thought about it during lunch.
In fact, that's ALL I thought about. I decided if I could ask him quickly and quietly during speech I could pull it off."Good luck." I said to myself.
I walked in to Mr. Shultz's class (theater class) and we were working on a play. Cara was the lead. (As always ugh) I was shivering and vibrating when Sean was close. I couldn't let fear get to me.
As Sean was standing there looking all cute, I negotiated with myself whether I should ask him. I finally decided I would.
"Hey... Sean." I said nervously and awkwardly.
"Hey. What's up?" Sean smiled sweetly.
"I..." I started.
"I was wondering... Well would you go to the graduation dance with me?" I said as my heart skipped a beat. I was vibrating so hard that I was afraid I would collapse. For a second, I think I did...
