RagLak- Dreams came to an end

Chapter 8

Next morning, 

Laksh is getting ready in a suit. He was setting his tie standing before mirror. He looks at Ragini. She was wearing a maroon saree. She was sitting at the corner of the bed and wearing big round ear rings. 

Laksh looks at her stuck for sometime. She was completely traditional before. But, today.. her way of wearing saree or other stuff is making her look modern. It is not about traditional or modern, but.. why this sudden change in her? 

Laksh thinks and drops his eyes towards her waist. Where her baby bump is very small to identify. She is just 1 month pregnant of his baby. 

Ragini suddenly holds her tummy feeling a slight pain. Laksh soon runs to her, 

"Ragini, are you ok??" he asks and holds her tummy gently with his hands kneeling down before her. Ragini amazes with his sudden action and she remains calm without driving him away. 

She needed it. How badly she needed his lovely touch only she knows. She can't remove those hands from her which has protectively surrounded her, giving her assurance that he will be good father to their baby. Ragini looks at Laksh in tears unknowingly. Because his love always keeps melting her. This is her problem. Laksh was too looking into her eyes smoothly rubbing her waist to sooth her pain. 

Ragini, then comes into reality and moves Laksh's hands from her. She sits like that only moving her head aside from him. Laksh stands looking at her.

"I'm going to office Ragini. Take care. I will be back by early evening." Laksh says. But, Ragini is silent. 

Ragini raises her head up to see going away Laksh. She turns away her eyes away from door and looks at herself in mirror. 

She goes into flash back..

Now, what's her next step? She has devoted her life to a wrong person and got a credit of being mother. That baby's father is known to her, but tomorrow the baby should grow up father less? All will ask her who is her father, what she would answer? How she would face the humiliation from the world? Looking at her baby's struggle can she survive? 

She is not one among all those brave ladies who can lead a brave life. She is a normal woman, a normal girl who has dreams. 

Ragini was getting shattered again imagining the harsh reality she is going face. She is the wife betrayed by husband and her baby will be the child betrayed by father. What she should do? Kill the baby? Kill herself? But, both are not just solutions. 

Ragini wipes her tears, "I will be strong. I will protect you from this society sarcastic words. I will not let you get effected by people's dirty minds" Ragini assures to her baby patting her tummy gently. 

She was sitting in hospital who came for general check up. It has been two days that Laksh has betrayed her. She came far from that place to be far from him. She is the intelligent student in her university. She can get any job easily. 

Finally, it's only education which helps a girl in every moment of her life. 

"Ragini" she hears a familiar tone which has deep hurt and concern. 

"who is concerned for this unlucky girl?" she thinks and rolls her eyes to that side.
