Chapter 3 - Weirdo

I finished my KFC. I looked at Alex, who had Krushems all around her mouth.

I grabbed a tissue and wiped the milkshake off the corners of her mouth.

"Thank you." she mumbled.

I smiled.

"Everybody thinks that we are together now." I chuckled.

She laughed.

"Yeah, should we continue?"

I thought for a second.

"If it makes you uncomfortable, I can tell them that we broke up."

She looked at me.

"Everett will come after yo-,"

I touched her hand gently.

"I don't care about Everett, Alex, you being comfortable is all that matters."

She smiled.

"Thanks, but I remember saying that I would always be there for you. Breaking up 3 hours after we got together would just be rude." She looked quite annoyed after the last sentence.

We both started to laugh. Everyone in KFC stared at us." Let's get out of here," said Alex.

Jai and I walked out of the restaurant, still laughing. We got on his scooter-thingy and rode back to school.

We had maths third period. I was struggling with my statistics work. Ms Havana came up to me and tried to help me. Her breath smelled like smoke. I was struggling to breathe -basically dying - and I caught Jai staring at me from the corner of my eye. He was laughing at me being tortured by Ms Foul Breath.

She caught Jai sniggering and let's just say he got a full face of smoky breath.

After class we had a half period. I went to my locker to grab my books. I was casually flipping through my biology textbook when Jai came up to me. "Hi!" I said.

"Where are all the girls? Usually Savannah or Beth are bullying the others."

"Loads of girls are here."

"I was talking about the Regina George and Karen Smith."

I laughed. "What about Gretchen?"

"I can't remember her surname."

We both started laughing.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom now," I said. "See you in Biology!"

Jai nodded and walked away.

I walked into the girls bathroom to see Savannah and this other girl tormenting a girl in my year.

"If you don't go and change it, I will expose your secret to the whole school! Isn't that right, Beth?" said Savannah.

"Yeah! Don't mess with the queen bees!" said Beth.

"Shut up Beth!" said Savannah.

"Sorry." said Beth.

The girl finally spoke, " I have no secrets."

"Oh really?" said Savannah, "Isn't the only reason why you're at this school is because your mum knows the principal *personally*?"

I gasped.

Beth, Savannah and the other girl looked at me. Beth and Savannah walked out of the bathroom.

The girl started to cry. Her tears were silent, which made me want to cry.

"Alex, right?" she mumbled. "I'm Charlotte."
