But you just don't get it,
I can't.
You say I need to be like her,
But I am my OWN person.
I can't be this or that,
I won't.
You say I need to be very successful later,
But you don't even agree with my choices.
I'm sorry, but you need to understand
That I will never, ever be Perfect!!!
Nor now, nor ever.
So please let me be,
And try to understand who I really am,
Instead of saying I should be like you
And planning out my life for me.
You had your chance,
Now I have mine.
So whether you like it or not,
I will do what pleases me!
