[08] • tears
semi hated crying. he hated the pressure behind his eyes, the stinging, stinging pressure; he hated the stickiness of the tears, damp on his cheeks; he hated the way his vision blurred and no matter how many times he rubbed his eyes, it would stay hazy and soft around the edges.
he hated the sniffling, the sobbing, the itch at the back of his throat, the shortness of breath.
he hated how his eyes were always red and sore afterwards, how the tears left a silvery path on his cheeks, like a map, a map leading to the places he didn't want other people to see.
but the thing he hated more than crying was seeing shirabu cry. that, he could not stand. and so semi vowed to always be there to wipe away his tears.
