Not even fifteen seconds after confessing his love for Dianna (he was joking, don't you worry. He loves her but he'd never lust after her the way he lusts over someone else), Darren wants to take back his statement. Why? Well, that's because she just suggested that they, the (almost) entirety of the female cast plus Chris and Darren, play Truth Or Dare.
And from too many embarrassing high school experiences, Darren knows to never trust the wicked game (especially the girls; they always seem to come up with the best ones).
Of course, not even ten seconds after having his complaining shot down, he's watching Dianna and Lea kiss. Who's dare was it anyway? Whatever.
"Chris," Ashley starts off with a teasing tone and he sits up a little straighter.
"Yes, Ash?"
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth?" he questions more than states.
"What were those noises I heard in your trailer the other day?"
Darren has to hold back his laughter while Chris regains his confidence, a task that takes tremendous effort (which task? Both of them). "What kind of noises did you hear?"
"That's what I'm asking you!" Ashley says. "They sounded a lot like, y'know, gay boys kissing."
"Ashley!" Darren exclaims. "He's hardly the gayest person here though."
"What do you mean?" Dianna feigns confusion.
"And she comes when called."
"This is great and all," Ashley starts again, "but while you work up the courage to come out," she points to Dianna who laughs, "Chris needs to answer my question."
"Fine," he huffs. "If you must know, Will came here the other day..."
His words send what feels like a stab to the chest to Darren, and he suddenly feels like blurting out the lyrics to Thousand Needles alone in his car when it's raining and then getting out of the car to cry where no-one can see him and where the hell did his train of thought just go?
Darren nearly misses Ashley saying, "You liar," enunciating each syllable separately.
"What?" Chris enquires.
"You seem to forget that I know Wildo and that I have his number. Actually, you seem to have forgotten that twice already."
"Just admit it," Jenna speaks up.
"Admit what?"
"That it was Darren," she states very matter-of-factly.
"Wait a minute! If you all knew already then why did you put me through this torture!" Chris asks.
Ashley shrugs, "To tell you that there's a 'no making out in the trailers' rule."
"I know that," Chris says quietly.
"I don't think he cares, guys," Darren says to the girls.
"How long?" Jenna points to the two of them.
Chris shrugs, "Just for the past year."
"What?!" Lea shouts out, "When was I going to be informed of this! Ignoring that it was obvious, why wasn't I the first to be told?"
"I bet they were planning on telling us the day they invite us to their wedding," Dianna says, fiddling with her watch and smiling at the men.
It looks like Chris and Darren are about to object, but just then Naya and Heather come back from talking with Ryan about something concerning their upcoming story lines.
Heather sits down next to Ashley and asks, "What did we miss?"
