Sienna///
I groaned and rolled over on the hospital bed only to be met with Ethan's new hazel eyes. But the outsides of them were red.
"Oh my god Ethan did you get any sleep?" I asked cupping his face.
"No." He smiled cheekily.
I smiled and planted little kisses all over his face. He looked so cute. His hair was ruffled, like it always was when I woke up next to him. His hand was rested on his cheek.
"Why didn't you sleep?" I whispered. No one was up but us.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." He whispered back. We were face-to-face now.
The thin blanket was up to both of our chins.
"Just say it." I giggled lightly.
"I don't want you to think I'm a creep." He said sighing.
"Ethannn." I whined.
"Alright alright." He chuckled.
He looked away and sighed.
"I-I was staring at you." He said. Embarrassment laced his voice.
I grabbed his chin to where our eyes met. I felt my cheeks heat up. Like what the hell? He was staring at me? I wasn't even that beautiful! How could he lose his sleep staring at a trash can?
I slammed my lips against his. I grabbed the back of his neck and deepened it. My fingers laced through his fluffy hair. We both pulled away breathlessly.
"I love you." I said. I don't know where the hell all this confidence came from.
"I love you too." He giggled. He snuggled into my chest and put his head in the crook of my neck. He was such a little kid sometimes but trust me, it was an adorable sight to see. But just before Ethan's eyes closed, Lisa's phone alarm blared. Which caused everyone to jump up at the sudden annoyance filling the room. Lisa rubbed her eyes and looked at everyone happily.
"Time to go back home." She yawned.
"But I'm so tired." Ethan groaned.
"You can sleep in the car." Sean said.
He groaned again.
"Remind me not to stare at you all night." He said getting up. He shielded his eyes from the window as the sunlight flooded in. He slowly removed his hand and walked towards the window. Everyone was out the door but Ethan, he stayed for a minute and started out the window.
"Ethan come on you'll enjoy it even more when your there." I said.
He raced ahead of me. All the nurses smiled at him.
"Guys! Guess what?" He smiled happily.
"Yes sir?" The old nurse asked.
"I'm not blind anymore!" He laughed. He paused for a minute. The whole Dolan family was waiting by the door while Ethan stood by the counter. I walked up beside him.
"Holy shit." He muttered. "HOLY SHIT!!!" He laughed loudly. "I'm not blind! I can see! Oh my god."
I smiled and laughed with him.
"Yes Ethan I know!" I hugged him tightly. He may have not processed the whole thing last night. All the nurses cheered and smiled at Ethan and I.
"Have a freaking amazing day." Ethan said. He seemed so happy about it. He was like a little kid on Christmas.
We walked out and Ethan stood there. Staring at the sky.
"Ethan don't strain your eyes." I said.
He quickly rubbed them.
"Ahh!" He yelped. He covered his eyes. I pulled my sunglasses off my shirt and slid them on his face. He blinked a few times.
"Way to kill the mood." He yelled at the sun. He then flipped it off with both hands.
I laughed and Wales next to him. I laced our cold fingers together. We entered the car slowly.
"When we get to the hotel, We will get all the stuff, Sienna and Ethan you two stay in the car. Ethan needs to rest." Sean said. I nodded and got the blanket from the backseat. Me and Ethan had the back to ourselves, Gray and Cam we're sharing the middle section, and of course Sean and Lisa were up front. Ethan laid between my legs and I wrapped the blanket around us. I twisted soft hair around my fingers. Snow was falling. Here and in New Jersey. It was almost Christmas. The car was running with the heat surrounding us. The radio played slow Christmas songs. I sang softly to Ethan. His eyes weren't fully closed yet.
"You sing good." He murmured.
"Pshhhh, me? No." I said shrugging it off. I only sang for fun and played piano occasionally.
"Don't stop singing." He said turning on his stomach. He rested his head in his hands and looked at me. I started to sing softly. His cold nose reached mine. He placed a soft kiss on my lips. He put his head back on my stomach and snuggled into me. Soon enough, the family had placed all the luggage and put their carry-ons next to them. I pulled out my sketch book and began drawing. I decided to draw Ethan. He was on his stomach and drool drilled out of his mouth onto the sleeve of his thick jacket. I got a napkin and wiped his mouth slowly, making sure I didn't wake him. I drew his nose and his lips first. Being careful not to mess up. About an hour later I was done with my masterpiece. It was hard to keep my arm steady through the bumpy roads and sharp turns. Lisa wanted us to go to the airport a few states away. So we would drive halfway and fly the rest. She figured Ethan wanted to sleep longer. I tapped Cameron's shoulder. She pulled her headphones out and looked back at me. I help up my drawing and smiled goofily. She made a silly face and put both thumbs up. I swear she was my best friend. I put my drawing stuff back in my little backpack and rested my head on the pillow behind me. I reached for Ethan's hair. I looked at him but his eyes were already open. He was staring at me again.
"Ethannnn stop looking at me and go to sleep, you need it." I whined at him.
"I just woke up I can do whatever I want." He showed off his straight teeth in a silly smile. I pulled my book out again and showed it to him. He smiled at me again. This was by far the best car trip I've ever been on. Listening to soft holiday music. The love of my life wrapped in a blanket so close to me. The smell of gingerbread flooding to car. And a welcoming family to share it with.
