A/N Sorry I haven't been posting much. I took a class that literally throws a ton of busy work at the students, making my life from fun to dull. I'll try to post more, but I have no promises. Hope you like the latest chapter!
Jack had stayed with Hiccup for years before the calling of the outside world came to him. Hiccup had to watch as Jack, like many other spirits, left the island to find their place in the world. Hiccup trained, communicated and helped dragons over the years. He also trained a few other spirits, including the newest Halloween spirit that took over the Holiday a little before Jack came to be. It dulled his loneliness for a little while, but nothing like Jack did.
Though Hiccup did not see Jack anymore since he left so many years ago, he did hear of his exploits from spirits that visit the island. Bunnymund, also known as the Easter Bunny, spoke the most of Jack and his never-ending pranks. It always caused hiccup to laugh and remind Bunny that Jack was a young spirit trying to find his place in the world. Bunny's visit was most welcome with his stories of Jack, artwork, or the guardians.
One day though, Bunny came storming into Berk with great anger causing even the most docile dragons to become defensive. Hiccup had to guide Bunny away from the dragons and got Bunny to explain to him the problem. Bunny started to rant about Jack and how he caused a vast Blizzard that not only ruined his Holiday but also killed men, women, and children. Hiccup asked if he was sure it was Jack and that it was on purpose or if Jack had lost control as many young spirits did.
Bunny said that it was Jack for sure, but, now that he thought about it, was unsure as to whether or not he did it on purpose. Bunny was reminded of the times when his power went out of control causing vast forest, longer springs, or even the random plant with no apparent use to be created. He knew this was why Hiccup was in charge of training and guiding spirits, as he always thought of both sides of the story.
Hiccup was glad that he managed to calm Bunny down and got Bunny to think calmly and rationally. They spoke for a while longer before Bunny had to leave for Easter preparations and guardian business. That was the last time that Hiccup got to see Bunny. Hiccup continued to work with dragons, teach spirits and in a rare moment even Communicate with Manny (AKA Man in moon). It was quiet for a long time when suddenly Manny told Hiccup to leave Berk for the first time in years to help the guardians and Pitch.
