Chapter Nine: I'll make it better

Emma’s POV

I was pacing Helen’s chamber in worry. Helen came into the room which made me stop. “Is Merlin ok?” I asked her.

“Gaius is not sure yet but he should be ok,” said Helen.

“Is Gaius watching him?” I asked.

“Now and again but Harry is watching him even more. I mean he is Merlin’s servant so he would be around more anyway,” said Helen. I looked at Helen something darning on me. Wait a minute...he couldn’t. I have to ask him.

“Emma is something concerning you?” she asked me.

“Not at all,” I lied.

“Have you seen Percival?”

“Not for a little while would you like me to find him my lady?” I asked.

“Yes please Emma and ask him to come here to see me,” smiled Helen.

“I’ll do it right away,” I said as I went to leave.

“And Emma,” said Helen.

“Yes,” I said turning back round to her.

“Get me and Percival some food too,” she smiled.

“Of course my lady,” I smiled before I left the chamber.

“Sorry to disturb you sire but Lady Helen wishes to see you and have some food with her,” I said to Percival who I found in the armoury.

“Oh right...Emma do you know the news of Merlin?” he asked.

“He should be ok but I doubt he be out of bed anytime soon. First Arthur and now Merlin this kingdom is coming to its knees because of Morgana. What could happen next?” I half asked half laughed.

“Merlin and Arthur are strong they will both be fine don’t you worry Emma,” smiled Percival as we left the armoury and I let Percival head to Helen’s chamber and I went to fetch the food.

Gaius’s POV

I couldn’t help but see how much Harry cared for Merlin. Whenever I had to go get my supplies or go back to my chambers. I miss Merlin living with me but he is king now and has this big responsibility on him. With Arthur ill this was the last thing Camelot needed, what Merlin needed and now he is in bed too.

However everything is still running ok in the kingdom for now and Harry is doing an excellent job in looking after Merlin when I can’t. As I entered the chamber to check on Merlin Harry sat behind him looking upset. “Harry are you ok?” I asked him.

“I’ve been better. Both my masters are ill,” he said.

“Yes it couldn’t have come at a worse time,” I sighed.

“Yes it couldn’t have.” I checked over Merlin to make sure he was going to be ok before I went to leave. As I did Emma came into the chamber smiling at me.

Emma’s POV

“Harry how are you?” I asked him as I approached him and the bed.

“I’ve been a lot better,” he sighed.

“You have a crush on someone or you like someone,” I said to him.

“No I don’t what makes you say that,” he retorted back straight away.

“The way you have been acting and you seem distracted by something,” I said looking at Merlin.

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” he said angrily.

“You don’t have to hide it from me Harry I’m your friend and I will understand. I might be the only one who does,” I said firmly.

“Just leave me alone, leave your crazy idea out of this room and away from me and everyone I know. Do you want to make my life a living hell!” he screamed.

I sighed before I turned and left the room. I think I know who Harry likes and if I’m right it’s not good at all. If I’m right I might have to tell someone because I have a bad feeling about this.

Merlin’s POV

I slowly opened my eyes pain taking over instantly. “It’s ok Merlin just relax,” someone voiced pieced my ears.

“Harry,” I managed to say.

“Yes it’s me Merlin,” he answered back.

“How bad am I?” I asked him.

“Don’t worry about that Merlin I’ll make it better,” I heard him whisper before I blacked out but I swore I felt something come close to my face as I did.
