I started walking home when I got a text from Emily, 'Hey, are you sure you aren't friends with James, Gray, Leo, and Calvin?'  Shoot did she find out, I thought?

I wrote back, 'What if I am?'

I continued walking home when she responded, 'If you are friends with them that's fine. I just want to know.'

I texted her back while I continued to walk, 'Gray, Calvin, and Leo are my friends. James is my boyfriend.'

A minute went by without a response, then two. I was a minute away from my house when I got a response, 'You're DATING James!? You're dating the son of  David!?  You do realize that his dad, David, is the one who was the one to tell the other two, Bob and Tom to kidnap you right?'

I looked at the text in horror, his dad was the one that wanted to kidnap me in the first place!? Why wouldn't James tell me that? I take a quick break from thinking and look up so I can safely cross the road.

Once I crossed the road I started to think about it again, maybe James didn't know that his dad tried to kidnap someone. He might not have even known that his dad was a bad person. Not everyone knows what their parents do for a living. I didn't even know what mom did for a living. I definitely didn't know what my dad did for a living, let alone where he lived.

My dad left me before I was born, and he cheated on my mom with some other woman. He also tried to say that I wasn't his child when my mom was pregnant with me. Like, what kind of father would do something like that!? Then, when I was six or seven my father said that he wanted to see me. My mom said that he could and of course, he was doing drugs. He could have gotten my mother in so much trouble. After I went to bed my mom kicked him out of the house though.

I got to my front door and took out my key to unlock it. I open the door, and as soon as I walked inside I smelled chicken. I closed the door and locked it. Then I took off my shoes, and went to the kitchen.

"Hi mom, is dinner ready yet?"

My mom looked at me and said, "Not yet, it's going to be another fifteen minutes at least."

I looked back at my mom and said, "Okay, I'll be in my room." I went up to my room and flopped down on my bed. I texted Emily back,  'Maybe James doesn't know what his dad does for his job. A lot of people don't know what their parents jobs are. I don't know what my mom's job is. And just because their parents are bad, doesn't mean that they are bad people too. You have to give them a chance Emily. You can't judge a book by its cover, so you can't judge a person by who their parents are.'  I turned on one of my favorite shows "Supernatural".

While I was watching Supernatural I got a response from Emily. It said, 'I guess you're right Belle. Plus you normally have a good sense on who's a good person and who's a bad one. So, if you say he's a good person, then he must be a good person. You should introduce me to them tomorrow.'

I sighed in relief, thank goodness she knew me well enough to know I do have a great sense of telling if a person is good or bad. When I went to respond to her text, my mom called me down for dinner.

'Okay, I'll introduce you to them tomorrow. I have to go eat dinner, I'll talk to you later Em.'

I walked down to the dinning room. I got a plate and picked up a piece of chicken. I put my plate down on the table, and went into the fridge to get some grapes. After cleaning the grapes I  set my bowl of them down on the table, and put the bag back in the fridge. I then sat down at the table across from my mom.
