CHAPTER VII: Training Time

Nicko's POV

Alice directed me to an area were the mosaics were all red. It was strange because when I entered it I felt like I was regaining all of my energy.

"Wait there" she told me and then she transformed into a flash of pure fire to search for something.

5 minutes later she came walking with two books which looked very ancient and from the outside its pages were a clear yellow.

"This is the Wizard Spell Book and this is the FrostWizard Spell Book" said Alice handing me the books.

"These are ancient books written by our ancestors that contain minor and major spells. For example the FrostWizard Spell Book contains major spells from your element's race and the Wizard Spell Book have spells that anyone can use" Alice said.

"Everyone has a book with elemental ancient spells from their races" said Alice

"So these books can help me to learn spells that I don't even know they could possibly exist?" I asked.

"Yes. I'll go talk to the others while you train" and with that, Alice went to talk to the others.

I opened the "Wizard Spell Book" and read it.

What caught my attention was this:

Wizard Spell Book, Complex and Middle Spells.

Invisibility spell: Say the words: "Let me not be seen, let me not be heard, let this spell be part of me" while releasing magic.

Teleporting spell: Think of a place and say the words: "Take me to the place I'm thinking of, hope it is safe for me to be there" while charging magic.

Speed spell: Say the words "May I be fast, may not be slow, may this magic spell protect me to the end" while charging magic.

Copy Technique spell: Point your hands toward the user of the spell that you want to copy and say the words: "May this spell be mine, may I control it fast, this spell might save my life" while releasing magic.

Two hour passed since Alice left me training. I first practiced the Invisibility spell but it was disastrous until like 20 minutes passed and I finally was able to control being invisible maximum 3 minutes. Then I practiced the Speed spell and it went better than the other one but it took me like 45 minutes 'cause I have to calculate the speed and the variables(I was good in math and science in school) to then use the spell. And finally I practiced the Copy Technique spell which was the hardest of them all because I didn't have someone to copy a spell so I pointed my hands towards Dex and try the spell, over and over, until I did some kind of a water wave against a dummie target.

I've spent two hours doing that and I didn't even got to practice the Teleporting spell and not even read a word of the FrostWizard Spell Book.

Alice came in my direction walking with some kind of stick in her hands.

"What is that Alice?" I asked.

"It is a staff and prize for the winner" she said.

"The winner of what?" I asked.

"The one of the battle" she said.

"Which battle?" I asked.

"The one you and I are going to fight" she said.

"WHAT!?" I asked astonished.
