Ferb's P.O.V.

I wake up, taking in my surroundings from the dirty floor.

The air is dirty and there is a slight burning smell in the air, but it's not unbearably strong. I also feel the light sensation of sprinkling rain. I get up and look around again. I look to Baljeet, Buford, Doof, Isabella, and Vanessa. They began getting up as well. I then look up to find no ceiling and moldy wood and stone fractions are scattered about. Out of the corner of my eye I swear I see something teal moving, but it was probably just my mind playing tricks on me.

I look straight up into the bright white cloud cover with some gray. Then I suddenly remembered why everything was so still, and scurry to my feet.

"Where's Phineas!?" I ask. I look around frantically for a third take, but no Phineas OR Doom. But I do notice a big pile of stones and dirt right next to what looks like a hole in the wall, and there is a water spout spraying out of it and towards us.

I run over and clear some of the stone to find Doom's foot sticking out of some dirt in the hole. I walk in and feel the dirt.

Huh. Soaking wet.

I look back to Doom's foot when a flash of yellow startles me. I watch as electricity sizzles and pops a bit, and a slight buzz fills the silence for a few seconds. I turn back around, until a glitchy voice began to speak. "Y-you will p-p-p-pay, F-F-F-Ferb-b Fle-e-etcher-r!" It glitched. "How do you know my name!?" I ask. "I-I-Isn't i-i-i-i-it obvio-o-ouse!? Y-y-y-y-you-u'v-v-ve forgote-e-e-en me-e alre-e-ead-y-y? Who's the o-o-only robot-t-t you know who-o-u-o wanted to de-estro-o-o-oy you so ba-a-ad!?" He yelled.

I tried remembering back, until it struck me. There's only one robot who's ever tried to actually kill us on purpose. And he knows our names.

"Tower? I knew that voice sounded really familiar! But... How did you end up like this!?" I ask. He moves a slight bit and his rusted head came through the dirt. "We-e-ell, I was pro-o-ogramm-med to tra-a-ap you-u-u, soooo-ooo-ooo-ooooo-" He said, until the voice became monotone. Then it started depleting slowly, and before I knew it, he was gone for good.

I run back over to my friends who were evaluating the situation as I did. "Okay here's the deal, when Doom and Phineas threw that last blow Doom was sent flying into that wall..." I said as I pointed at the hole. "Turns out, it was TOWER!" I tell them. They all gasp including Doof but not Vanessa. "Wait, who's Tower?" Doof asks, not knowing why he gasped.

"Tower was an invention Phineas and him made when they were nine. He was programmed to trap them and their friends, which explains why his reasons for trapping us were all over the place." Isabella says. "But uh, I have no clue where Phineas is. And... It's worrying me..." I admit, playing with my fingers behind my back.

"Don't worry Ferb, we'll find him!" Baljeet assured. Everyone else nodded.

"Okay, well Phineas obviously isn't in here still. Look!" Baljeet says, pointing towards the wall. There was a chunk of wall missing, where Phineas was assumably blasted out through and away from here.

We start walking towards the rubble and create our own little staircase using variable machines to get out.

When we get up and out of there, however, we are not pleased with the sight.

In the direction Phineas was blasted, there is a noticeable path of uprooted trees and dirt was flung everywhere.

I gulp, staring at the path with fear in my eyes. What will I see? Will Phineas be okay, or even ALIVE? What if he got bruises and scrapes? For all I know, I might see a dead body covered in blood! Any number of things could have happened!

I almost half-willingly start slowly walking. "What's wrong?" I hear Isabella say, interrupting my thoughts. I look up from my feet and look to Isabella who was way ahead of me. "I-Im... Fine..." I mumble, walking faster towards her.

"I know you're worried, but I'm sure Phineas will be fine in the end! Maybe he'll have a broken bone... or... twelve, but - aug, that's not the point! The point IS, you'll have your brother back and you can baby him as much as you want once he's out of the hospital." She assures. "But what if he's not... I mean, what If I'm walking all the way up here to see my brother - DEAD - in the middle of the woods? I'm not good with emotions... Happiness, it's simple. I smile and go back to being silent and emotionless. But sadness? Maybe anger? Those are way more complex... My brain can't comprehend them too well."

"Ferb-" "No, I want to say more. Phineas is pretty much the only person to ever make me smile. If I lose him... I... I lose a brother, a best friend, AND joy altogether... A-And I don't want that..." I say, trying to hold back the tears flooding my eyes. But I can't. I can't hold them in anymore. I want Phineas. I want him alive. Well. Okay. But I'll probably find a broken boy with a large risk of falling into a coma... If he's even ALIVE.

We continue walking on in silence, with Buford, Baljeet, Doof and Vanessa trailing slightly behind.

"We're near him... The destruction path is narrowing. I... I hope you're ready, Ferb. That's all I can say..." She says, her voice fading into the same sad tone as mine was. We continue walking further in silence, both of us hanging our heads.

I look ahead, spotting where the destruction ends. We're so close. I feel so compelled. But... scared.

I walk up over a tree blocking my view and climb up the pile of ruble around Phineas. When I look at him, however, I can only cup my hands around my mouth.

There he is, surrounded by a pile of dirt. I slowly walk over to him and with a shaky hand, I grab his collar and pull him out. I watch as his head falls sideways when he's lifted. After laying him down on the grass, I gently grab his wrist with a shaky breath.

It's a faint pulse, but it's there.

"Phineas?" I whisper as I hug his face.

"Ferb...?" He asks confused. His eyes open up the slightest, his pupils still slightly red but mostly Phineas's blue.

"Phineas, are you okay? That was a huge blow... But you're gonna be alright..." I whisper to him gently. I hug him a bit tighter, but Phineas has yet to move.

"No..." He says.

At this, I am shocked.

"What?!" I ask after a sharp gasp. Suddenly his face becomes colder and sad looking. His breath is unsteady and shaky, and sounds pained. His eyes become dull.

"Phineas, you can't be serious right now... I..." I start, but tears swell up in my eyes. I knew my brother wasn't going to be fine, though I didn't want him to believe it. I didn't want to believe it either.

All that could be heard was the crying, the pain, and the sorrow all around as Phineas lay limp in my lap.

And, right before my very eyes, one last breath managed to escape him and his eyes began to close.

He's dead.

My brother is dead.
