[ for those who are confused, you guys are well into the school year, it's around October, same as now]

"Ohohoho I wonder why (y/n) wants to go talk with black*star hmmm Tweetie~ got any ideas"

Patty said with a smug grin as they walked down the hallway of the DWMA academy. The statement the blonde said caused the younger girl to blush madly and wave off her thoughts.

"N-no way! There's noooooo way black*star and (y/n) would have that kind of relationship....right?"

The bi-hair colored girl looked toward the bluenette's partner with a hint of worry. The raven only giggled and and continued walking with a slight grin on her face.

"Oh don't worry Jay, it's not like that with those two"

The weapon gave a sigh in relief and continued walking, not being able to get those thoughts out of her head. After that conversation had ended, Soul brung it up again and looked toward the ceiling m, and what the albino said caught everyone's attention, everyone.

"I wonder, what if they really do become a couple..."

Everyone cringed at the thought and shook their heads.

"Too noisy"

Maka and Liz said in unison.

"Hilarious!"

Killik, the twins, Kim, and Soul said.

" u-uh maybe not the best combination"

Jaqueline and Tsubaki said while sweatdropping.

"Just pleas end me now. "

Kid says falling on the floor dramatically while being ignored.
Oh and Harvard are strolling behind the bunch, chuckling about how some things just may never change for some people.

--
It was 6:30pm and (y/n) had been waiting at the park for a half and hour for the 'big star' to show up.
"BETTER MAKE THIS QUICK (n/n) BECAUSE THE ALMIGHTY BLACK*STAR USUALLY DOESN'T HAVE MUCH TIME FOR PEASANTS LIKE YOU-"

"Star, please. This is really serious,
Cut out the tough boy act. "

Knowing that it was better not to anger the short girl, he shut his mouth and gave her his undivided attention. She gave a sigh in relief that he listened the first time.

"Black*star, remember when you told me about your past and what you remembered from your childhood?"

The bluenette raised a brow at the younger girls question. She never spoke in such a soft tone, usually rowdy and rough. It also didn't make any sense to him who she would ask such a question out of nowhere.

"Yeah....? What does that have to do with anything?"

(Y/n) looked down, her brows furrowed as her (e/c) eyes stared deep into the concrete of the floor, thinking of a way for him to process this information easier. She took a deeo breath and looked through her duffel bag that she brought with her, and took out a piece of burnt cloth and gave it to him.

"...."

His eyes widened at the familiar scent of the fabric in his hands, not being able to look away. (Y/n) shuffled slightly and said something, black*star still not moving an inch.

"....It was your fathers scarf, wasn't it...."

She frowned at the memories she had of her mother doing things to her fathers belongings once he left this world, she could never get rid of the image of that woman's face as she watched them burn. That's the exact expression that was on her siblings face that made her heart skip a beat of the sudden nostalgia.

"How did you even..."

He dragged his sentence along until he finally looked up to her with a shocked, confused, yet eager look in his eyes. (Y/n) closed her eyes and focused all her energy on her shoulder, just enough power to show him the one mark that will clear everything up. Once she opened her eyes, she slowly pulled down the jacket she was wearing to show a sleeveless (f/c) top. And on the left side of her shoulder, she pointed and gave him a small, broken smile.

"Remember this?"
