I really should have left Shane alone. If he did what he did last time, I have to find him. Fast. I think the basement is the most logical place for him to go.  His weights and punching bag are down there, so he is most likely there.

creak, creak, creak

Is all I heard as I walked down the stairs to the basement. I didn't hear any clinging of weights, or punches. I heard...sobs? I looked towards the noise and saw a girl sitting there crying. I walked over to her, it was Sam. My ex-best friend.

"Um, are you okay?" I asked, carefully.

"Caleb dumped me!" She sobbed. Caleb is- well, was her boyfriend of four years.

"You don't need him." I said reassuringly.

"I have no one else, Rachel." she said, "He was there for me when I lost you, he was there when my mom died. He was there until my dad could take care of me again, because he lost the love of his life. And now I lost mine."

What should I say?

"That's not true. And you didn't lose me. We just weren't talking." I replied. She looked at me with a sad face.

"You have Shane. You don't need me." She stated, putting her head in her hands again.

"Come on, let's go upstairs, because your makeup is running." I pointed out, we stood up and started walking up the stairs.

"Are you and Shane dating yet?" She asked, curiously I led her up the stairs, and towards the bathroom so I can fix her makeup.

"Nope. Just friends." I replied, "not by choice..." I mumbled grabbing a towel to take the makeup off her face. She smiled.

"Wow, he didnt make the move? You both suck." She said, surprised. I laughed,

"No, I'd rather chips." I said, jokingly. It's nice to laugh with Sam again. She laughed,

"Thanks Rachel. It's nice to laugh with you again, I missed it." She said, I smiled and hugged her. We pulled away.

"Me too. Let's get you cleaned up, and then we'll get you a drink." I said, and started applying makeup.

After I put the finishing touches on her face and we walked down stairs to get a drink. Someone made me spill my drink when they bumped into me and yelled

"Spin the bottle in the backyard!"

I looked at Sam and she shrugged. "Why not? We're both single!"

We grabbed our drinks, and headed to the backyard. I saw Shane, and nodded a 'what's up' I sat down in the circle, and I could feel his eyes on me as I talk to Sam. He was probably wondering why I was talking to her.

I was in the middle of a conversation, when my phone vibrated.

I look at my iPhone 5s, and see a text message from Shane.

Okay, I am sorry for being an asshole, but you're being nosy and acting like my mommy instead of my best friend. You were mad that I was talking to one of our enemies, yet you're talking to one of yours? Makes sense *note the sarcasms* -Shane

Sarcasm duly noted. Anyways,  she just got broken up with, Caleb dumped her! Which is surprising, she isn't going to replace you. Don't worry. You're my ratchet best friend that I love like a brother's cousin's uncle's dog's owner's little brother -Rachel

I looked over at shane, he was laughing

Fine. Bye, but you really need to fix your hair #iwokeuplikethis #flawless -Shane

Kys -Rachel

But first, let me take a selfie #selfie #livingwithmybitcheshashtaglive -Shane

Hash tags are overrated -Rachel

Just like you -Shane

This boy...

"Okay, first spinner is the girl who just went through a terrible heart break; Sam!" Tommy said, and clapped.

Sam flipped him off, then stood up and walked to the middle of the circle. She put her hand on the bottle, and spun it. It went round and round while she bit her lip nervously.

Caleb looked like he was praying that it didn't land on him. The bottle slowed down, and landed on Gavin. They kissed for ten seconds, then Sam went back to her seat. I looked at her for feedback, and she gave it a thumbs down. I laughed, and watched Gavin spin the bottle.

It spun round and round and round until it landed on Marissa. Once again, a two minute kiss. Gavin sat down and Marissa spun the bottle. It slowed down, and landed on Shane. He cringed but got up anyways. Their kiss lasted ten seconds, when Shane backed up. Marissa sighed and sat back down.

"Okay,  spin!" Tommy said to Shane.

Shane put his hand on the bottle and spun it. It went round and round and round and round. It slowed down and swished past me a couple times before stopping.

On me.

I couldn't move. I can't kiss my best friend.

"Ohh!!!" Everyone said,

"Okay listen, we are best friends, and we can't kiss because the outcome may be bad and we can't put our friendship on the line for a silly game of spin the bottle. Sorry. " He said, and bent down to hug me.

"Awwwe!!" A couple people in the circle went, while some complained.

"Just kiss her! " Someone said.

"Fine. Rachel stand up." He said, annoyed. I stood up, and walked in the middle of the circle. He leaned in, and kissed my cheek.

I'm pretty sure I blushed.

"She blushed! Give her a real kiss!" Someone yelled,

"Yeah like from that one movie i saw that one time!"

I turned to look at him, and his lips crashed onto mine.

Oh my god.
