Chapter 5

Khara POV

I sat there awkwardly when I heard several laughs from the couch and Colby walked in looking redder than I have seen him yet and he dropped heavily onto the couch.

"Scratch that we won't be leaving any time soon" Colby said

I stood up furious "So you are telling me that I can't leave?!" I yelled at him and he flinched away from my voice.

"Hey, that's enough Khara its going to be okay. Just let Colby explain" Elton said putting his hand on my shoulder looking at Colby who have him a pleading look

I shrugged it off "NO! ITS NOT OKAY I NEED TO SEE MY MOM" I was getting furious when Elton pulled me out of the room then I shifted painfully into my wolf. It wasn't as painful but it still hurt. Once I was fully on wolf form I started to growl and Elton backed away. I stepped toward him and then I heard a low growl from the living room than another then i saw a door cracked open and I ran. I made it out into the forest and I ran as fast as I could then I heard more paws behind me and I turned around to see Colby but he was a wolf just like I was and I ran to him happily.

We played happily for a while then it started to get dark and he shifted to his human form. I sat down and looked at him and he said "shift back" I tilted my head to the side my tail wagging at his bare figure in front of me and he turned bright red and slipped on some basketball shorts and threw a dress that he had carried in his mouth while he was in wolf form, to me and I shifted when he turned away. I stared at him he had perfectly toned abs and arms. I realosed a little too late that I had been staring when he spoke up.

"Like what you see?" he said with a grin

"you wish" I smirked at him and stepped closer to him we were just inches away and he pulled me into a kiss. I stood frozen for a minute then I kissed back and we heard a howl from the direction of the house making Colby break the kiss.

"We need to head back" he said

"Do we have to?" I whined

"Yes, unless you want an angry alpha and worried beta and that is definitely NOT what we want" he replied with a shy smile and we started walking back then I picked up speed and I raced him back to the house. By the time we got there we were both exhausted and sweaty.

"Have fun?" one of the guys asked

"Don't let your imagination get too creative Corey" Colby said and I laughed we head upstairs. Colby dropped me off at my room and starts to walk away but I grab his arm.

"Can I sleep with you?" I ask blushing slightly.

"Of course" he says and I can feel the happiness emanating off him

"Don't get any ideas" I said waving one finger in his face and he grinned making me smile.

When he opened the door to his room I could smell his scent of pine and campfires everywhere.

"Where can I find Devyn? " I asked "I need some clothes"

"She should be down stairs still" Colby replied and as he walks away I grab his wrist and pull him into another kiss. This time we hear a whistle down the hall and see Sam standing there. I pull away shyly and walk down stairs.

"DEVYN?!" I call

"YEP!" I hear her call back from the kitchen and I walk down there.

"Can I have some pajamas and clothes for tomorrow?" I asked

"Sure I will bring them to your room in a bit" she replied sweetly

"Actually... could you bring them to Colby's room" I say blushing and I look at the ground.

"Sure" she giggles

"Okay thanks" I say as I walk away

I walk back to Colby's room and knock "come in" I hear his deep masculine voice from inside and I open the door and grin as I see a My Chemical Romance poster on the wall.

He sees me looking at it and asks "you like them?"

"YES!" I almost yelled and he laughed. I went so sit down on his bed and then we heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said and Colby looked at me.

"It's my room you know" he said with an attitude

"Well im sleeping in here so as of right now it's equally my room" I said with ten times more attitude and Devyn laughed as she set some clothes on the chair by the door.

"Hey Colby looks like you have finally found someone to match your attitude if not top it" Devyn laughed.

"Yep you have your hands full with this one" Corey said from outside the door with a laugh.

I grinned at Colby who looked a bit embarrassed as they just stood in the room. I looked at them and raised my eyebrows and nodded towards the door at them and they left.

"So can you explain to me why I can't leave" I said crossing my arms

"Well your wolf is awakened now and so other male wolves will be drawn to you so before you leave I need to... mark you" he said the last part quietly flinching from my reaction which I didn't understand.

"What do you mean mark me...?" I asked hesitantly

"I need to mark that you are my mate..." he replied sounding embarrassed

"Well how can you do that?" I asked curiously

"Well I have to kind of bite into your neck" he said sounding embarrassed and burying his face in a pillow

"What does marking do" I asked still curious

"It makes it apparent to other wolves that you are mated" he sounds so nervous and I don't understand why.

"Well then go ahead" I said in a confident tone sweeping my hair behind my back so that it would be off my neck.

"y-you don't understand what a commitment it is do you?" he asked nervously staring at my neck he looked like a vampire sitting there staring I contained a laugh at the thought.

"No not really" I replied

"It is basically committing to spend the rest of your life with me as my mate you can't take it back" he sounded nervous once again "you will be able to hear my thoughts and I will hear yours"

"Okay..." I said a bit hesitantly and he looked disappointed and fell backwards onto the bed

"How have you never been told about what you are by your parents" he asked sounding slightly amazed

"I don't know" I replied shaking my head "my dad left when I was young but I don't really remember him" I yawned sleepily then grabbed the pajamas

"Where is the bathroom" I asked him and he pointed to a door on the far side of the room and I went to change into the pajamas

I realized that Devyn gave me short shorts and a tight tank top; well at least they are black. I walked out and Colby started at me

"Like what you see?" I said mischievous grin quoting him from earlier and he just stared

"Colby, Colby! Earth to Colby?" he snapped out of whatever he was thinking with a blush and I hopped into the bed by him rolling my eyes "can I play some music?" I asked lying on my back and he handed me his phone I opened YouTube and started playing Im Not Okay by My Chemical Romance singing every word. He looked at me chuckling and I sang a bit quieter embarrassed then he lied down by me and I fell asleep soon after.
