Chapter 3

Colby POV

Elton and Devyn walked out of the room. I gave them a questioning look and they just mind linked the same thing

'She passed out from pain again'

"That makes sense considering she wasn't prepared for her transformation week" Corey said putting his arm around Devyn and we all nodded.

"We should move her to a more comfortable room considering she won't be leaving anytime soon" Elton said looking at me and I let out a pleased growl at those words making Sam laugh and I punched him in the arm playfully.

Khara POV

I woke up to the blissful scent of pines and campfires and I sat up in the bed to see the boy Colby sleeping in a chair on the other side of the room. He looked so peaceful. I stood up and stretched. Then I started to walk towards him. 'WHAT AM I DOING I DON'T EVEN KNOW HIM' I scolded myself internally and plopped back on the bed loudly with a huff. That seemed to wake him up and he looked startled for a second then a smile spread across his face.

"I see you are awake" he said sounding slightly amused.

"yes... who are you" I said curiously

"im your ma-" he was cut off when Elton walked in and shook his head at him.

"so im confused what is going on why am I here what is happening to me where am I and who are you people?" I said in a rush.

"you are here because you were writhing in the woods alone, and ill explain the rest later" Colby said with a look of awe as he stared at me and I blushed bright pink.

"o-okay" I said nervously and Elton chuckled a bit.

I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my spine and I screamed in pain Colby rushed to my side faster than I have ever seen anyone move.

"Stand back Colby she is unpredictable at this stage" Elton said warning him and took a step towards us but then Colby let out a low inhuman growl and he stepped back. Regardless Colby stepped a few feet away from me. Then the pain stopped it just... stopped and I looked down at my hands... no not hands, Paws?

Colby's P.O.V

She woke up and I immediately faked sleep as not to seem creepy, I had been watching her asleep. So peaceful. She got up and started to walk towards me and I could feel my heart rate skyrocket. She stopped a few feet away from me and seemed to internally scold herself then she plopped back onto the bed loudly. I used this to my advantage and 'woke up'. I see that she is in super skinny jeans and an open back My Chemical Romance shirt.

'Well I wasn't expecting that' I thought then I smiled at her she crossed her arms

"Who are you" she asked with attitude dripping from her voice.

"Im your ma-" I was cut off be Elton as he popped his head in the room and shook his head

"Im so confused why am I here what is happening and where am I" she asked in a pleading tome that seemed to break my heart.

" you are here because you were writhing alone in the woods and I will explain the rest later" I responded as gently as I possibly could while I stared at her. 'She is so beautiful' I thought then she blushed making me blush too. Why does she have this effect on me!?

"o-okay" she replied cutely making me blush even more and I heard Elton chuckle

Then she screamed in pain and I ran to her side as fast as I could. I faintly heard Elton say something about stepping back and he stepped forward and I let out the most vicious growl I could summon in this form and he stepped back then she started to shift and I stepped a few feet back and then there she was. A beautiful black wolf with bright blue eyes she stood up and started to run at Elton and he growled making her sulk back to me and I couldn't contain my laugh it seemed to spook her and she started running around like crazy then she finally wore herself out and fell asleep under the bed

Khara POV

I stood up then let out a low growl warning everyone away I felt trapped in this room in this house then I ran. Elton stepped in front of the door blocking me inside this room, this cage. I ran at him but he let out a low growl and I shyed back and tucked tail to hide behind Colby. He let out a laugh. It startles me and I shyed back with a growl, this time running around making a mess of the room. I ran around the room until I got tired then I went under the bed and hid and slowly fell asleep.

When I woke up I was under a bed. I crawled out from under the bed Colby was the only one left in the room I stood up and he turned bright red then I looked down at my body. I was naked... great just... great. I jumped onto the bed and covered myself with the covers. I peeked out to Colby taking off his shirt he had perfectly defined abs. he tossed me his shirt and turned around still blushing. I tossed it on.

"what happened?" I asked still groggy from sleep.

"you shifted for the first time" he replied

I nodded "Wait first time!?" I almost yelled

He scooted back a bit when I yelled. Wow these people are jumpy. I pulled my knees to my chest as i began to cry. Colby hopped up and called Devyn.

She sat down by me on the bed. "you shouldn't make your mate uncomfortable like that" she said.

"what do you mean, mate" I asked sounding confused.

"a mate is when a wolf finds their soulmate their mate is their other half the one they are meant to be with" she replied

"wait but im a human. I have hands" I wiggle my fingers

She laughs "yeah I guess you are but you are also a wolf, you saw what happened earlier that was, as Colby said, you shifting" she looked at me to see how I was taking this which was not well

"wait so one day im completely normal the next im a large dog?" I say my voice getting louder with each word.

"umm wolf not dog but yes" Devyn replies sounding a bit offended at the term dog.

Then Elton popped his head in the room "Devyn get this girl some clothes, what is your name by the way?" he asked

"im Khara" I replied shyly as Devyn walked out of the room

Colby walked over and sat on the bed next to me. I leaned over and put my head on his shoulder I don't know why I did it but it felt right. He tensed up a bit then relaxed and scooted closer to me. Then next thing I knew I was asleep with the scent of pines and campfires enveloping me.

ooh so Khara shifted for the first time i wonder what happens next
