Chapter 7

"ALPHA ELTON!" I heard him yell urgently and Elton rushed in the room and saw my mark and his eyes got just as wide.

"What is it" I asked sounding worried

"nothing to worry about my love" Colby replied "but we aren't having a pack dinner tonight why don't you stay here and rest for a while" he said rushing to the bed to pull the covers back and I lied down on the bed and pretended to fall asleep until I heard them walk out of the room then I slipped silently out of bed and out of the room. I sat on top of the stairs and listened to their conversation.

"ROYALTY!?" Sam yelled and I heard a bunch of people shush him

"Yes royalty, she has the three stars under her mark a sure sign of the royal bloodline" Elton replied sounding over whelmed

"Well what am I going to do?" Colby sounded like he was crying and I wanted to so badly run down there to comfort him. I walked down the stairs silently to see everyone looking either terrified, sad, or both.

"We will figure this out Colby I promise" Elton said

"Figure what out" I said and everyone including Elton and a few unfamiliar people jumped at my voice.

I saw that Colby was crying and I rushed to him trying to comfort him with my back to everyone and then I realize I still had the same shirt on when I heard a few gasps and a loud sob from Devyn. Colby put his hand over my mark and pulled me into his chest turning me around so my back was facing the wall and I cuddled into him seeing everyone either glaring at me or looking terrified.

"What is going on" I whimpered to Colby starting to cry and he just shushed me kissing me on the forehead

"Shh its gonna be okay" he comforted me as Elton stood up and closed all of the blinds in the house and locked all the doors and windows.

After the house was locked and closed Elton sat down in a chair across from me. He looked to Colby who nodded.

"I know a lot has happened in the past week" he said to me and I nodded

"Your mark, it has the three stars underneath it and those start only appear when a member of the royal family is marked by her mate" Colby explained

"But the royal family was wiped out fifteen years ago" Sam chimed in

"Apparently not all of it" Elton added then I passed out... again

I woke up alone in an unfamiliar room. I stood up quickly looking for my mate only to realize that I had been put in the most beautiful black dress that I had ever seen. I looked around to realize that Colby wasn't here and I mind linked to him

'Colby?! Where are you' I said frantically to see him open the door seconds later and rushed into his arms.

"I thought you were gone" I whimpered almost in tears

"No im right here' he said rubbing my back gently "let's go downstairs" he said with a smile and I nodded

As we walked down the stairs and made it to the living room o noticed nobody make eye contact with me and I cuddled into Colby almost on his lap still crying.

"what is happening, why do you all look afraid of me" I whimpered quietly but apparently loud enough that they heard me because Devyn on the other side of the room gave me a small smile only to be pulled closer by Corey, her mate.

"They are just confused" Elton said kindly as he walked in with a smile and I nodded

"Well they aren't the only ones" I said pouting then Colby pulled me onto his lap. I cuddled into his arms as he wrapped them around me. I heard Brennen laugh at me and I stuck my tongue out at him making the rest of the pack chuckle. I smiled at their happy reaction.

"So can someone tell me what is going on?" I asked and the happy mood was wiped away instantly

"You have been told what your mark means right?" Devyn said standing up from her mates lap to sit by me and I nodded

"Now you need to know the backstory" Elton added and I turned around to Colby who gave me a reassuring smile and a peck on the lips.

"So there used to be a royal family of werewolves but about fifteen years ago they were taken out by the Blood Moon Pack and we thought they had killed all of them but the royal guard must have given you to an adoption shelter or something" Elton explained

"b-but im not adopted" I said starting to cry and the pack all looked at each other

"I think its time we had another talk with your mom" Colby said and Elton nodded

"yes, you and Colby will go along with a me, Sam, Devyn, and Corey" Elton said looking at me and I nodded

"why so many people" I asked

"we need to keep you safe if you really are the last of the royal bloodline" Corey said and the rest of the pack nodded.

"but first we need to change you into some more casual clothes that hide that mark of yours" Devyn said smiling and Colby nodded

We went into mine and Colby's closet and I grabbed a tank top and one of Colby's sweatshirts along with some ripped jeans and my new black vans that Devyn bought me the other day. Colby gave me a questioning look when I grabbed his sweatshirt then I mind linked to him.

'Your scent keeps me calm and might be the only thing that keeps me from shifting because im so on edge' I told him and he smiled pulling me into a hug and I kissed him lightly. When I was changed into my tank top and jeans Colby walked in with a mischievous smile. As I looked into the mirror styling my hair he kissed my mark making me moan and we heard some laughs from outside the door I tried to turn around but before I could he kissed it lightly again and again then running his tongue across it and I lost it. I turned around quickly with a growl and shoved him against the wall making him grunt from the impact and started kissing him roughly with my arms around his neck and my hands in his hair. Then I pulled away with a smirk and a wink as he wrapped his hands around my waist trying to pull me closer.

'Revenge is a sweet sweet thing isn't it' I mind linked to him still smirking as I slipped on the hoodie and walked out to see a smirking Elton and Corey as well as a giggling Devyn

"What" I said putting one hand on my hip and I laughed as Colby walked out of the bathroom his hair still messed up. I walked up to him fixing his hair putting my face            un-necessarily close to his making him lean in for a kiss then I leaned back leaving him standing there looking upset.

'You WILL make that up to me later' he demanded over mind link and I smirked knowing that the pack heard him say that. We got in got car and headed to my house only to realize that my mom was at work so I let us all in using the spare key.

"She should be home in a few hours" I said "want to listen to music?" I asked and they agreed then I looked at Colby who smiled.

I hooked up my phone to the aux cord plugged in to the surround sound and turned the volume all the way up playing You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison and The Only Difference Between Suicide And Martyrdom Is Press Coverage when we heard a knock on the door and I paused the music. I walked towards the door but Colby stopped me and growled at whoever was at the door

'Run to the bathroom and don't come out' he growled through our mind link and I froze 'GO!' I heard him yell and I ran to the bathroom locking the door behind me. Elton answered the door "yes?" he asked

"Is Ms. Khara Blu home?" an unfamiliar voice asked and I heard Colby knock on the door .I opened it and he came in locking the door behind him

'What is going on' I mind linked to him afraid that whoever was at the door would hear me

'The Blood Moon Pack's beta is here' he said back fear lacing his voice

hey! i was wondering if you guys want more of Colby's pov and maybe some Elton or Devyn pov

anyways i hope you are liking the story and from now on i will be posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. and maybe occasional Saturdays if i'm not busy
