It has been almost 3 months since I finally went on that coffee date with Matthew.
We have been dating for 2 months now.
The girls just passed their 5th month.
He also offered to let us stay in his little apartment for two.
The girls and I stay at the end of the hall in a room with a queen bed and an air mattress that I lay them on.
I was thinking about my past relationship with Matthew.
He was an amazing guy. In fact, he didn't break up with me, I dumped him for Jaiden.
Stupid choice.
As I was day dreaming in my own little world, I got a call.
It was from Jaiden.
I had been getting calls from Jai and Mel all week, even though they knew I wasn't going to pick up.
I rolled my eyes as I decided to answer the call, he kinda did deserve an explanation to my disappearance.
"What do you want?" I spat as he gasped in awe of hearing my voice.
"Dyl! Where are you?" he screamed.
"Places. Nothing that concerns you." I mumbled as he sighed.
"Dylin, I miss you. I want you to come back." he explained.
"Whatever Jai. Have fun with your girlfriend. Things are finally going okay in my life. The girls would be better off without you anyways. You and I both know that you didn't care about them." I practically scream into the other line.
"Dylin. Come back, please." he pleaded.
"No." I said as I hit the end button.
Just then Matthew walked in with the girls propped up on each shoulder.
They giggled as he plopped them on the bed.
He walked over and sat down next to me, pulling the hair away from my neck.
"Who was that?" he asked as he slowly kissed my neck.
"Jai." I explained as he chuckled and continued to kiss me.
I looked over to see the girls poking each other and giggling.
I walked over a tickled them on the neck as their giggles intensified.
"Mamama!" Violet squealed.
She only said that when she wanted something.
"What baby girl?" I cooed at her.
"Dada." she screamed as she leaned out of my arms and into Matthew's.
"Dada huh?" I giggled as he shrugged.
"I like it." he said.
"Me too." I smiled as Alyna leaned into my chest.
"I like it a lot."
