Patrick's POV

It had been a month since I had walked out of Tony's life. It had been a bad month, Inhad been arrested for stupid things like DUI, no license on me, seatbelts and each time it was Tony who bailed me out.

She remained professional with me until the last time she had to bail me out. She got out the car and came inside the house with me, headingbstraight for the bar.

"Patrick, I don't want to be your lawyer anymore. You have caused more trouble than Justin Bieber has in one month than his whole life. Two of my paralegals have qualified as lawyers and I am leaving them in charge of the firm, I have been offered three jobs in L.A as legal advisor and I am taking them as they are both flexible with one another."

I got a sour taste in my mouth. "Yeah, I heard about FC, Decay and Clandestine." She rubbed the bridge of his nose and closed her eyes tight.

"Look Patrick, you were the one who walked out my life and told me you didn't want to be screwing someone who works for you. It hurt just by the way."

She knocked back two shots and lit a smoke. "I haven't been the picture of composed for the past few months and I've been drowning myself in work but if it wasn't for you getting into so much shit all the time and me not having to look at you, I would be better off. I have been given an opportunity to get away from you and I will be damned if I don't take it!" She slammed her smoke into the ashtray and got up to leave.

"Antonia, wait." I held onto her arm softly and looked pleadingly into her eyes. "I was a dick to you, I am sorry I hurt you. Maybe taking the jobs in L.A and me working on getting back on track is what we both need."

She had made her focal point my arm that held hers, but when she lifted her head to meet my eyes my heart crumbled. She wasn't lying; there was real pain there.

I pulled her head to meet mine and kissed her slowly and softly. She had seen me as a beast who was out to hurt her. I needed her to see that Patrick, the one who loves and cares for her, is real.

"Antonia, please give us another chance. Even if it means doing the long distance thing for the first few months, then I'll move up to L.A. I know it will be hard to trust me but..."

She cut me off. "Patrick, you said it yourself. I just work for you. Goodbye."

I heard her bite back a sob and soon the door closed.

Tony's POV

At least I wasn't the only one at the pity party tonight. Pete and Meagan had split recently so we were each others support structure. I walked into his house - he'd given me a spare key for emergencies - and, thinking no one was home, broke down into the buckets of tears I had been holding onto the whole drive here.

"Toto, what's wrong? Did Patrick hurt you?" Pete emerged looking drunk from the entertainment area.

I sighed deeply. "Sorry Pete, I didn't think you were home. It's one of the few places he wouldn't look for me. He'd go to my place then straight to Andy. I had to bail him out again today, told him to find another lawyer and that I was leaving for L.A. tomorrow. He kissed me and asked for another chance, even said he would move up with me. I walked out and told him the same thing he said to me. That I just worked for him."

Pete came over to me and picked me up bridalstyle. "Well,I think what you need is some of The Wentz. Let's have a few drinks then do something random, like sing at the top of our voices."

Three quarters into the bottle of whiskey and Pete and I were singing, very badly, along to a cover of "You give love a bad name" by Atreyu. I felt so at ease, not even what Patrick had said to me mattered right now. Pete's screamo pierced my ears and it was like magic to me. Next thing I knew, I was dancing very up close and personal with him and was whispering in his ear:

"Shot through the heart

And you're to blame

You give love

A bad name

I played my part

You played your games

You give love

A bad

Name"

He looked extremely dazed but turned on nonetheless. "Tony, Patrick is a dick and doesn't deserve you. I know we are both past our limits drunk but I want you and I am going to show you what a woman should feel like when she's with a man that genuinely cares for her, because yes, I do care for you. You wouldn't just be a distraction or a rebound. You would be mine."

Pete cared about me. This was news. I didn't know what to say so I just smashed my lips to his instead.
