Flowey cautiously examined his surroundings, where the fuck am I he thought. He couldn't really see anything but his lower body was safely concealed in a warm, woolly... thing. Something or someone also had a firm grasp around his upper stem. Was that a bone? He sternly stared at the object, it was an arm bone... Papyrus? Flowey tried to comprehend everything, suddenly recalling yesterday's events, the theme park, the rides, the fun but where was he now? He closely inspected the skeleton, he was asleep ofcourse, Flowey grew out further and squinted at the digital alarm clock 4:37 it read. He reared back on himself, perhaps he should wake Papyrus...

Flowey felt a bit flustered about the whole situation, it seemed he had slept with Papyrus... He hadn't a clue as to how he ended up like this and he certainly didn't agree to it. The flower grumbled lightly as his fifth attempt to wake the skeleton failed. He wanted to scream at him but that might wake others, that's if anyone else slept nearby. Flowey propped his small body into the soft material he awoke in, now realising it was Papyrus' scarf. As the minutes dragged on Flowey had given up in his attempts to wake the skeleton. 6am finally came about and the digital clock rang out a tune, was that Mettaton's theme song? Yep, Death by Glamour, Papyrus moved lightly and Flowey perked up. The skeleton slowly blinked and Flowey smiled as he spoke "Good morning sleeping beauty!" Papyrus jerked away immediately, startled by the sudden voice. "UM H-HI FLOWEY" he mumbled while he rubbed his eyes. Flowey noticed a change in the skeleton's face, instantaneously orange blush crawled onto his face. Papyrus tapped the alarm and rested down beside the flower. "ERM AR- ARE YOU OKAY?" Papyrus nearly whispered, which was a rare occurrence as Papyrus practically shouted every word. "Uh I could be worse I guess" Flowey reported, the two made small talk until Papyrus suggested breakfast.

Flowey was once again hidden in a piece of clothing. This time he travelled in Papyrus' pyjamas sleeve he saw through a tiny hole in the fabric. Frisk sat in the kitchen and she hurried over to Papyrus "HEY!! You missed the bedtime story last night! Sans was kinda worried about you too" she stuttered the words hastily. Flowey chuckled lightly at the mention of the bedtime story. "I'M SORRY FRISK, I WAS JUST TIRED" Papyrus replied "Still, come on uncle Papy we missed you" Frisk persisted "At least have breakfast with us, mom's making waffles!" Papyrus passed up the offer by speaking out and suggesting something different "I THINK I'D RATHER UM SKIP BREAKFAST FRISK, I- I AM NOT EXACTLY HUNGRY" Frisk gawked, clearly heartbroken or affronted by the answer. She grimaced "Why? Am I annoying to you or something? It's so unfair you don't want to spend time with me anymore!" Frisk stomped her foot and huffed, it was patently obvious that the skeleton's words had struck a nerve. Papyrus was going to try talking again but decided to let her be. Flowey was more important right now.

Papyrus was sat on the door step and Flowey was settled on his arm. The two admired the early morning mist. Flowey's little eyes were however now fixed on Papyrus and Papyrus noticed him. They shared suggestive stares until Flowey began talking "I should probably leave, you know return to the grass" Papyrus said nothing but simply stroked Flowey's petals. The flower opted to stop the stroking although it almost felt homely, like when his mom would comfort him when he was down or dad would scruff his hair when he did something right. Flowey bobbed impatiently on his stem while Papyrus on the other hand eased closer. "FLOWEY... UM WOULD YOU LIKE TO UH..." Papyrus nervously fumbled "TRY SOMETHING..." Papyrus finished "Like?" Flowey inquired Papyrus blushed hard and Flowey now intrigued, eagerly awaited an answer, Papyrus spoke up "WOULD YOU PERHAPS LIKE T- TO KISS" "What?!" Flowey asked dead pan expression in place yet he was astonished and confused as to why Papyrus would even ask that. "NYEH I-I'M SORRY I'M SO SORRY, IT'S JUST YOU- YOU LOOKED SO DARN CUTE AND I- I WAS JUST WONDERING IF PERHAPS YOU WELL..." Papyrus sighed, lowering his head in the process. Flowey almost felt sorry for him. The flower spoke in a low tone "I mean it's not that I don't... uhm like you. It's just that I didn't know you were um... interested" "I SEE, I SHOULD'VE TOLD YOU" "Told me what?" Flowey pondered "I UH TREATED YESTERDAY MORE LIKE A DATE THAN JUST HANGING OUT WITH AN OLD FRIEND" A silence hung over them, the only thing to be heard was the susurration of a tamed wind.

As the minutes passed the sound of a door opening surprised them both and Papyrus turned around to see Frisk, Toriel standing behind her. Flowey ducked under the sleeve to hide but it was too late as Frisk saw him. "Flowey!!" she screamed pointing a finger at Papyrus' sleeve. Papyrus leapt up and backed away from the door. Frisk scampered off to take cover behind Toriel's marmalade-coloured dress. The unsure goat stood in the hallway, confused as could be by the situation happening right before her eyes. Papyrus pulled his pyjamas sleeve down faster than could be. It was up to Toriel to settle this and she didn't know whether to believe Frisk's alleged Flowey report or to not. Frisk cowered lightly and Toriel trusted her. "Papyrus could you please dispose of that wretched creature somewhere" Flowey frowned at that sentence, his own mother calling him 'wretched' and taking some lost little human girl's side made him sickly, angry. Papyrus put off by the normally jovial goat's tone decided to do what he was instructed to do. He walked over to a patch of grass and told Flowey to hide, the disappointed flower slid into the freezing ground. Frisk and Toriel approached "What on earth did that thing want with you?" Toriel questioned "UM HE- WE UH" Papyrus was at a loss for words. Frisk quickly scanned the area, her eyes darted rapidly in the effort to prevent an ambush from the flower. Toriel took Papyrus' hand "What am I doing?" she questioned herself "You must be so scared!" She talked as she led the skeleton into the house once more.

Toriel placed a boiling cup of tea infront of him; Papyrus thanked her. Although his mind was still set on the flower. Now for the interrogation Papyrus thought but it seemed luck was on his side. Frisk announced that she would be late for school so Toriel and her left in a hurry. Papyrus watched them through a window, he waved lightly and Toriel beeped the horn, Frisk however still appeared to be in a huff since she didn't even turn her head, wave back or at least smile. The five passenger, purple vehicle flew off into the distance and with that Papyrus rushed to the door. "FLOWEY, FLOWEY, FLOWEY!!" he called out. The skeleton dashed towards the field of grass he had released his friend into, he wasn't there. After several minutes of searching and name calling was met with no flower Papyrus retreated indoors. Flowey had hid under the soil, they couldn't do this anymore. Papyrus would only end up in more trouble and his presence clearly wasn't wanted here. He had no choice but to leave. In the long run, it would be better if the two didn't even cross paths again. With a sick mix of emotions curling inside him he decided to run away...
