"Hahaha, Shawn you are probably one of the dumbest people i know!" i laugh, giving him a gentle push on the shoulder.
"Be right back, i gotta piss." he said, hoping out of the pool and walking against the fence.
I float on my back and close my eyes, letting the water hold me up.
"Gotcha!!" Matt says, pulling me into his arms, going underwater for only a few seconds.
"Christ! You scared the shit out of me!" We laughed. He held me bridal style as we spun in the water.
"Cannon ball!!!" Shawn yelled, jumping into the water, making a large splash.
We laughed together as we stood in the water.
"Guys its midnight!" Matt said pointing to a clock hanging on the wall.
A bright flash of light came onto the back wall of the fence, like car headlights.
The sound of a car door shut, echoing through the empty parking lot. I froze.
Matt quietly swam over to me and placed his hands on my hips from behind. Shawn then swam over to us and tightly wrapped his arms around my neck.
Mumbles of men came from the outside of the fence.
"Tom, its in here." one of the deep voices called, then the sound of a door opening squeaked. Lights in one of the motel rooms flicked on, the blinds dimming the light.
I gulped as foot steps came closer and closer to the fence. My eyes shut tightly, afraid of being found.
"Quietly, follow me." Matt whispered in my ear, and close enough to Shawn, for him to hear too.
Matt dunked him self underwater, and swam to the wall, Shawn and I following. Matt pushed his arms up on the wall, pushing him self out of the water, the sound of the water dripping off his boxers caused us to freeze.
"Quick!" Matt whispered. He reached a hand down helping me out, and Shawn pulled him self up, but with a loud splash of water coming from his boxers.
"SHAWN!" Matt and I both yell/whispered.
"Did you hear something?" One of the mens voices came from outside the fence.
"Dont be a pussy, go check it out!" Another man said, then came the sound of a loud slap, as if he had hit the other man. The foot steps got closer and closer. My breath hitched as the fence lock rattled. Matt wrapped his arms around me, and Shawn grabbed my hand. The three of us standing frozen.
"Get the clothes" Matt mouthed to Shawn. Shawn nodded and hoped up on a chair, then onto the roof, with only a soft thud.
"What was that?!" the first mans voice said.
"Damn it Bryan!" the other man said. "if you want to know what it was, GO CHECK IT OUT!" he yelled.
Shawn flopped down on the roof in a starfish position.
The mans foot steps led to the other direction. Shawn sat on the roof grabbing our clothes in his hands when the gate lock rattled again.
A gun shot fired and the gate opened.
"What the fuck?!" a large hairy man said as he took a step onto the pool deck. "Eric! its kids!" he yelled to the the other man, who is now identified as Eric.
"Christ Bryan what are you- what the fuck?!" Eric stepped onto the pool deck. The both held guns in their hands, pointing down at the ground.
"Ak 47's" i quietly gasped. Matts brought his hand up, covering my mouth. His other tightening on my waist.
