☼MATTS POV☼
Erin slept silently as i slowly climbed out of bed. It was about 9 and i knew she'd be up soon, depending on how she felt. Her face was still red and covered in tear stains. I couldn't even fathom the pain she was experiencing.
I walked down to the kitchen and grabbed a banana off the counter. Burnie came running in the kitchen.
"Hey Burwnie." i said in a dog voice. He jumped up excitedly, then suddenly took off down the hallway.
"Stop." a faint voice said, i instantly knew it was Erin. I dropped the banana on the counter and ran down the hall.
"Burnie, stop." I commanded, as he jumped up on Erin. Her eyes were still red, she looked rough, yet still amazing at the same time. She was still wearing her shorts from yesterday, and one of my sweatshirts.
"How you feeling?" i asked her, wrapping her in my arms as Burnie ran somewhere else in the house.
She just shook her head, and weakly placed her arms around me.
"Do you want breakfast?" i asked, guiding her into the kitchen. She shook her head.
"Um, Hey, i got a text from Nash early, i can drive you down to the hospital if you want..its an hour awa-" she brought her finger up to my lips, and simply shook her head vigorously.
"Can we go to my house later?" she took a seat at the kitchen table, and pulled her knees up to her chest.
"Yeah, of course, just let me know when." i was shocked she talked.
"Um, an email went out.. Ms.Avery's okay." she nodded her head.
She turned and starred out the window, i had lost her to her own mind.
It killed me seeing her like this, she wasn't....Erin. She was a hurt little girl. She doesn't deserve this, hell, Will didn't deserve this.
....
At 12 i finally convinced her take me take her home.
She went straight up to her room, not even daring to walk anywhere near Wills room, avoiding it completely by taking the second set of stairs in the back of the house.
I followed her up. She laid on her floor in fetal position, like she had just dropped.
I sat down next to her and places her head on my lap.
"Why do all the good people have to die?" She nearly whispered she spoke so softly.
"I wish i could answer that babe, i really wish i could." I pushed her hair out of her face.
"Im going to scream."
"Wha-" before i could finish she let out a loud, sharp, high pitched scream. My hands flew up to my ears.
"Whyy." she cried, this time wrapping her arms around me.
The door bell rang, and i pried myself from her grip. I didnt want to leave, but i was hoping it was Nash of Hayes, or even her dad.
"Coming!" i yelled as i ran down the stairs.
"Oh um, hello." Her neighbors were standing at the door way with an over tray with foil wrapped on it. A couple in their mid 40's.
"Are the Griers home?" the woman asked.
"Erin is, but she cant come out."
"What?" her soft voice was behind me. I quickly spun around. She was rubbing her eye, she looked like a lost puppy.
