MATTS POV

I didn't want to do this, Erin was going to kill me when she woke up, but she needed to be with her family, not me. Im just the shitty boyfriend that cant even comfort her when her brother dies.

A little after she fell asleep i tossed her (not literally) in the back seat of Nash's truck.

I called Nash and asked him where to meet up, he gave me directions to the hospital and everything.

It was actually kind of relaxing driving on the high way at night. It was only and hour and a half drive, but i managed to pull into the hospital parking lot in 75 minutes.

"Mmhhmm." Erin groaned uncomfortably in the backseat. "No." she said, still asleep. Then she let out a loud, ear piercing scream.

"Fuck." i cursed, as i swerved in the parking lot of the hospital. I quickly found a spot to park and stopped the truck.

"Erin are you okay?!" I shook her in her seat trying to wake her up. She breathed heavily as she sat up.

"Matt." she whimpered out and wrapped her arms tightly around me.

"The dream was back, but...they shot Will now." she whispered to me in a low soft voice.

"Its okay, its okay Erin, it was just a dream."

Erin pulled her head back and looked around.

"Where are we?" her voice clear and loud.

"I brought you to the hospita-"

"No." she said sternly, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Erin you need to see your family-"

"No."

"I know you're scared Erin, i know, i would be too, but you have to see them, they need you, you need them."

"No" she said again, her voice cracking as she held herself back from crying.

"We can do this the hard way, or the easy way, your choice." i challenged.

"Im not getting out of this car." she shook her head, letting her light brown hair fall over her face. She looked like Nash when she pouted like this.

"Hard way it is"

...

"Erin." Her mom nearly cried just at the sight of Erin from the end of the hallway.

"Mom." She released my hand from hers and ran into her arms. Nash was standing behind them. Erin let go of her mom and hugged Nash tighter and longer.

Nash was a wreck. His eyes were bloodshot from crying, his hair was messy and uneven. I felt so bad.

"Thank you for bringing her." Nash said walking over to me, embracing me in a hug. "How tough was it?"

"She cried for a good 15 minutes as i pulled her out of you car, oh yeah i borrowed you car. But yeah, it was absolutely heartbreaking, please don't ever make me do that again"

We walked into the hospital room where Will lay on the bed....lifeless.

They were keeping him for another 6 hours, and then they were going to send him off to the funeral home.

Just the feel of being in the same room as his body made you want to break down and cry. Will was a good, no, great guy. He was kind, smart, an amazing athlete, he didn't deserve this.

Balloons, flowers, and teddy bears filled the room from Will's team mates and friends.

Erin was laying on a bench in the window with her head on Hayes's lap, and was clinging onto a teddy bear.
