Till the End

Chapter 10~ Another loss

The sun was beginning to fade, daylight was taking its way to an end while the blue skies became dark.

I looked down to Charlotte and I don't know why but I feel a sort of connection with her. I feel as if it's my duty to protect her.
To love her.

"Guys we might want to start heading back" I said disappointed that we have lost yet another member. I may not have liked Wells much but he was still one of us.

"Just a little longer." Emma said for the first time of being outside and if I'm honest she's actually being really brave out here after getting stabbed.

"No Kelly is right Em we should head back I can't risk anything" Bellamy said.

Nobody had the chance to speak or even the nerve to take another step. The group were now experiencing noises, whistles even from around them.

As an instant reaction I grabbed charlottes arm pulling her closer to my protection. I also saw Bellamy pull Emma into his chest rather quickly.

Even from a distance you could see the way Emma and Charlotte were shaking and clenching onto the other person for there life.

"JUS DRAIN JUS DRA!" They all started chanting.

I then realised that they weren't on the ground level with us. no. They were higher, a lot more higher.

"Psst, There in the trees" I told the group.

Everybody looked up and indeed they were in the trees. Dirt covered them from head to toe, they wore bold black masks and were heavily armed with everything you could think of except guns.

"Which one of you are the leader!" A women's voice shouted.

Nobody moved and nobody spoke.

"Your wasting my time don't make me kill you all now" this sent chives up and down everyone's spines.

"We don't have one!" Clarke shouted out.

"Where's our huntress?" The voice spoke again.

At this point I was terrified the only thing that was processing was, they are going to kill us.

"She escaped" Monty called out.

I looked over at him and we all know that was an extremely risky thing to say but we also knew we had to find a way out of there.

"Why don't I believe you?"

Oh crap, now what's going to happen.

"We're telling the truth I swear it!" Bellamy shouted for the first time.

No, no and no don't swear on it, damn it Bellamy why would you say that your going to get us killed. Like you literally just gave the devil  a contract saying it can kill us.
Dude.

"I'll let you go on one condition"

See I knew it she's not going to let us all go, I knew it, I told you so, damn it Bellamy.

Again nobody said anything we all just remained silent.

"We keep the girl"

Well, what wait? There is like 5 of us here, no she is not touching me uh uh hell no. In fact why don't we all just leave, yeah that's a real good idea.
We all just go our separate ways.
And never speak again.
Brilliant.

"I want the little girl!" The female voice demanded.

What? Charlotte?! No they can't take her, no! She's only young what could they possibly want with her?!

"It can be me, you can take me instead, just leave them all alone" I spoke.

"What? Kelly? no are you crazy?!" Monty shouted.

"Indeed I am!" I laughed a little.

"We don't want you we want the girl!" She shouted.

"No, no please I'm begging you" I shouted while starting to tear up.

"You have 10 seconds to hand her over or you all die!" The voice screamed.

"Okay okay I'll come with you but just please don't hurt my friends"

"Charlotte no!" I yelled,

"I have to, I can't let anyone else of you get hurt because of me"

"Please Charlotte, hey, HEY YOU CAN TAKE ME SHES JUST A KID Y-you c-can take m-me!" I yelled bursting out into tears.

I felt Monty wrap his arms around me as Charlotte walked off, I sobbed and sobbed into his chest until I couldn't cry no more.

It was over everything was over.
