Readers pov

My sister just won't shut her mouth about 'him' and it's all because she wants to piss me off all the time! Me, my sister, Al, and Ed all got along so well together but Ed and I were the ones who always pranked and mocked Al and Yuki. One day they chased us all the way to the river bank until I slipped and accidentally took Ed down with me. We were both blushing so hard we thought our cheeks would burst into flames! Once their mother pasted I felt so sad and empty because she was the closest thing to a real mother to me so I decided to help them try to accomplish the forbidden transmutation to all alchemy. Something that day changed the boys both physically and mentally. I'm worried that because I have to work with Ed and Al that one of them would get hurt trying to watch out for me as well as themselves. Alphonse seems to be learning new ways to calm Edward down when someone calls him or me shorty and Al knows I'd rip them to shreds right then and there! I wish I could know what he told Ed that made him instantly blush and calm down, he's always whispering something to him and they won't seem to tell me what it's about. On our last mission together, we were sent to central to figure out who was killing all of these young girls and I had to bring my little sister along with me because our grandmother was visiting the rockbelles for a while. Winry, she's an amazing mechanic for Ed and I when we need to be fixed up. We both could do alchemy without a transmutation circle too! I just wonder if Ed knows that I like him.................

"Hey (y/n) come on the colonel gave us a new assignment to do!" Ed called running down the hall.

"Ed wait the floors are wet so you might-" Before I could finish Ed slid right into me pinning me below him. My face was just as red as the day I pined Ed under me when I tripped over my shoe lace when we were kids.

"S-sorry (y/n) I should pay more attention huh?" He laughs and offers to help me up and I accepted of course. I hadn't noticed how close we were until I went to walk forward I tripped although, I hadn't expected him to catch me around my waist. I could feel my cheeks heat up again and quickly looked away from him.

"Um E-Edward could you please put me down now?" I asked trying to keep my voice as calm as I could but it still came out shaking a bit.

Edwards POV

'Wow I never knew that (y/n) was this pretty up close.' I thought but my thoughts were cut short for a while. She looked at me with her deep (e/c) eyes that could posses someones gaze right onto her.

"Um E-Edward could you please put me down now?" I noticed that I still had an arm around her waist so she wouldn't hit the ground. I blushed really dark and let her stand up. I smile and pat her head.

"Sorry (y/n) I guess I got a bit distracted for a moment there." Why did I just tell her that!? I just hope she doesn't know that I've had a crush on her since when we were kids. I noticed that my arm was still around her waist. As I went to pull it back I pulled her closer to me and her cheeks were a light dusty shade of pink.

"E-Ed what are you doing?" She asked me as I got lost in her eyes again.

Third person pov

As (y/n) noticed that he pulled her closer her face lite up almost immediately. Edward noticed this but when she looked up she could only see something she hasn't seen in years......love, she could see it in his eyes as he looked at her smiling.

"E-Ed we need to get going the train will leave soon." She smiled at him now know that he did like her back but she was just to shy to tell him. He shook his head trying to snap out of his daze and let go of her waist.

"S-Sorry (y/n)." He said blushing just as dark as her. He could tell she liked him but never said a word about it to Al, Winry, or Yuki that his crush has grown more and more threw out the years.
