"Excuse me," I nervously said, "Are you Damian?"
I was getting butterflies in my stomach.  No- more like pterodactyls.  This had never happened before.  Well, I guess considering all the boys at Peters were either delinquents or anti-social, I never had someone to romantically like.  Wow, was this what love felt like?
"Yeah," he looked up from his shoes.  He pursed in lips, and flashed smoldering blue eyes, "I'm Damian, I'm here to pick up-"
"RIGHT. HERE."  I snatched the kid from Miss Betty and dropped her into Damian's arms.  "There."
He gave me this befuddled look... maybe it was because I didn't really know how to deal with children, considering I had been by myself for most of my time.
