"Madeline, hurry up! Your breakfast is ready!" I heard my mom shout out, her voice barely making it through the thick wood door at the bottom of the stairs.

I groaned rolling out of bed not even bothering to check my appearance. I knew what I looked like and quite frankly was not happy with it so why torture myself?

I took small baby steps getting down stairs, my legs not wanting to put in any work.

Here darling, I made pancakes, yours are blueberry just how you used to eat them." My mom gave me a warm smile as I walked into the kitchen taking the plate from her abnormally boney hands. "I think Ian is in the living room watching some cartoons if you want to join him. Just dont spill anything on the sofa."

"Alright, thanks mom." I smiled taking the cup of milk and walking into the living room. Ian and Cameron were sat on the couch in their pajamas watching spongebob.

"Morning Maddy." Ian turned his head away from the tv giving me a full mouth of pancakes smile.

"Goodmorning Ian, glad to see your enjoying your breakfast." I laughed as he gave me a shy shurg wiping off the crumbs from his shirt and pants.

"I'm going to work." Marvin grunted walking out of the living room fully dressed. "Where's your mother?"

"In the kitchen." Ian answered, his eyes still glued to the tv screen.

"Make sure to do something, don't just sit around all day. And Madeline, maybe go outside. You look pale, been locked up to long." He gives me a smug grimace before turning and walking through the door into the kitchen.

I look to see Ian unphased by the comment, probably didn't even hear it. Cameron was staring down at his plate, his eyebrows knitted together. C'mon say something.... be my big brother.... come on Cam.

"I'm going to the field to play some soccer with the guys if you want to come and watch again Ian." At this Ian perked up and looked over at Cam with the widest grin.

"Yes! Can I maybe even play?" He asked excitedly, sitting up on his knees his bottom lip pouted.

"Yeah, of course. You can try goalie." Cam laughed nudging Ian making him fall over. "Go get dressed and meet me down here in 10."

I watched as the two gathered their empty plates and left the room disappearing not even acknowledging me. I guess that's what it's been like while I wasn't here. I looked down at my plate, two full pancakes still intact. I sighed cutting them up and mushing them around like I used to do to make it look like I ate more.

Marvins comment completely knocked the appetite out of me. Prick.

I cleaned up after myself before retreating back up to my room to explore some more of what mom and Ian did for me. My favorite was the record player, I loved it.

I sighed plopping down on my bed staring up at the ceiling. I wonder when Daisy was getting here... I was so excited to see her.

My eyes closed for what felt like a minute before the shot open.

"Oh my god!" I heard someone scream. Speak of the devil. "Madeline! Mads! Maddy baby!" She squealed as she ran up the stairs. Giving me no time to sit up, she jumped right on top of me taking me into a tight embrace.

"Wow so nice of my mom to just let you in even though I'm still in my pajamas." I laughed as I sat up, her rolling onto the bed to sit next to me. "Ah, I missed you!" I grinned hugging her again.

She looked different. She used to have the prettiest blonde hair, it was the defintion of golden curls. Now her hair was dark brown completely straight. Her eyes were still that bright green color that everyone just adored and she still had those perfect fucking cheekbones.
