Chapter 13- It's not what it looks like

"Bye Evan, I had a really great time tonight." I smiled opening the car door. 

"I had a great time with you, do you think I can see you again?" He asked flashing me that gorgeous smile. I felt my cheeks heat up as I nodded. "Awesome, expect a phone call from me. Bye, beautiful."

"Bye." I smiled uncontrollably as I went to step out of his truck.

"Wait." I stopped and turned around looking at him. "Can I get a goodbye kiss?" I froze, I never kissed a boy, I don't even know how to kiss. What if I kiss him and it's terrible and he doesn't call me back?

I had to think of something quick. "Oh come on now, you have to work for that." I smirked blowing him a kiss. He just laughed and shook his head as i hopped down and closed the door. Oh my god, where did that come from. 

I still had the smile on my face as I walked through the front door my mom and Cam sitting in the living room talking together. "Hey Mads, why the big grin?" Cam asked as they both faced me.

"I just came back from my first ever date." I pursed my lips in an attempt to tone down my excitement but it wasn't working. 

"What!" My mom shouted jumping off the couch. "My baby went on her first date and didn't even tell me???" She came over to me and grabbed my cheeks squishing them together. "With who? Harry?"

"Mom ugh no! I shimmied out of her grip and she stepped back. "Me and Harry are strictly friends. It was a boy from the diner, his names Evan. He's so super cute and has these gooey brown eyes and a smile that could ki-" 

"Ew that's my cue to go, I can't listen to this." Cam shook his head gathering all the papers on the couch and leaving the room. 

"I'm glad you had a good time tonight, I hope to meet him soon. I need to see these gooey brown eyes." My mom smiled nudging me. Me and her were close but we never quite got close enough to talk about boys and such but after my little burst of excitement I felt that bond growing and I hoped it would keep growing. It felt good to talk to my mom like this. 

"What were you and Cam talking about? It looked serious." I asked as i followed her into the kitchen. 

"Oh just about college and everything, he's sending his final applications this week so we were just going over finances and such." She told me pouring some coffee. "He's pretty stressed out."

"Awh man, I completely forgot about all that. I'm so inconsiderate. I'll talk to him, get in the loop." I smiled as my mom and I stood in the kitchen talking a little bit more. I felt my phone buzz and saw Harry's name pop up:

Come pick up Storm tomorrow morning before school, I have a doctors appointment. H x

I replied back that I would and headed up stairs to finish up any last minute homework before heading to bed.

"So you're birthdays in a few weeks. You excited?" Cam asked as we sat in the car waiting in an immense amount of traffic.

"Yeah, I'll finally get my license so I don't have to rely on everyone to bring me places." I laughed as Cam agreed remembering how that was him last year as well. "And to finally have a fun birthday that isn't spent in a mental hospital." 

"Yeah that'll be a plus. Let Harry know you're almost there so we aren't late for school." Cam said as I texted Harry. A couple minutes later we pulled up to his house and I got up running to his front door to get the baby. i knocked a few times before he answered. 

"Hey, how are you?" I asked as he handed me all the stuff. 

"Good, I'll be back in school in time for health so I'll see you then alright?" Harry told me as he leaned against the door.
