I slap him in the face pushing him to the floor with my feet, Daniel scrambling from the kitchen because of the racket Jack's screaming was making.

"Zach! Stop!"

"No Daniel."

"I was joking!!!!" I cock my eyebrow slightly at his sketchy face, there was no way I'd appreciate Jack's hands on Abigail. He flings his hands back in surrender but I keep my feet on him. Jonah is lounged just on the other side of the room eating a muesli bar but doesn't give a shit of the "ordeal" going on and continues to crunch on his food.

"Zach, seriously get off him." Daniels eyes flick pushing me slightly back of Jack as he scrambles away. I can't be bothered to deal with him right now so I fall back onto the couch and grab my phone to keep texting Abigail. Last week was like a whirlwind, I had a plan to scare her that day but it all went down the drain when I heard her arguing over the phone, I can't believe she had a boyfriend I didn't know about, I was going to make a move so lucky I didn't. It was funny how we had only known each other for a while but I'd already seen her at her worst and her best she was like an incomplete puzzle for me and I really couldn't explain Abigail. She really was something different. I snicker at my own pun causing the boys to stare weirdly at me. I would be lying if I didn't say that about her though. Every time I stared into those eyes that had somehow captured the ocean's waves I fell deeper like the dark depths of the sea. She was lonely and I knew that and it was slowly swallowing her and her own mind. I wanted to grab her hand and run into the sun on the beach or kiss her under the night sky like I could have done a few nights ago. Since that day where we trudged through the words, I dreamed of her, even when I was awake she was like a twitch in my brain, a glitch in my eyesight, a virus that hit my system.

"ZACHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Yes Jack."

"I just want to let you know that I understand that shes yours okay. I definetly didn't understand it the first day we met her but I do now, she means a lot to you in a weird way."

"Thanks Jacky but what do you meant you didn't understand on the first day?" I watch the colour drain from his face, his curls flopping as he slowly walks back until he is align with the door and sprints outside.

"Hey Daniel."

"Yes Jonah?"

"Guess what."

"What?"

"Jack is fucked."

"Oh well old chap I believe you are quite correct-"

"JACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" he's scream in return was faint but coming from outside, my feet were already trailing on his path. A sudden burst of confidence came from Jack as he approached me being slightly taller by millimetres, sticking his chin up higher. But when he stepped exactly in front of me I throw a balled fist that collided with his arm then chest. As he stumbled, he nearly fell over the concrete paving, rubbing his arm with his palm. I tried not to laugh but the look that crossed Jack's face I realised he really wasnt joking. I pushed him over once more, him not even trying.

"Wait did you actually do something with her..?"

"Here me out-"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!"

"SHES FREAKING HOT OF COURSE I WAS GOING TO BE INTERESTED, ALL OF US WAS EVEN THE GUY IN THE OLD SERVICE STATION DOWN THE ROAD WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HER!" I could feel the disgust smeared across my face, the anger held in my eyes but he was right and I never actually pointed out that she was "mine".

"Fine. I do understand okay but did you do anything? Did you make out? Or am I just too out of her league?"

"Huh, hold up what? Make out?! Even though it crossed my mind there was no way I was making that much contact when I just met her!"

"WHAT HAPPENED THEN!?!"

"I grabbed her waist that's all..."

"THAT'S ALL?!?!"

"YES THAT IS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Why the fuck are you arguing about this lol" Jonah walked up to us chuckling a little, yeah he was the eldest but really he acted the youngest. He nodded at both of us and then sat down at the outside table now eating a banana.

"JONAH. ABIGAIL IS A SERIOUS TOPIC-"

"I am?" There those eyes were again dragging me in, looping me in her soul. She stood there in her sequinned shorts and plain white shirt with a rose on nook of her shoulder, she looked good, well she always looked good.

"Hi Abigail..." we said in unison as she just stared half smirking before she slowly moved cautiously to the chair besides Jonah who was now onto an apple.

"Okay, I texted Corbyn to grab popcorn, continue." she smiles looking at the both of us who just stared at her before each other.

"Hurry up I'm bored" I felt a laugh come from my throat, what even was going on? Jack and I were fighting as usual about something that had happened and had already fixed itself. Classic. Jonah joins in as does Jack, he gestures out for the bro handshake and I take it in an instant his noodles flopping around on his head.

"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME, I MISSED THE SHOW."

"Next time" I wink at her while Jack elbows me slightly, how does she fit so easily into this life and us. Multiple people had come through and left, the whole cycle repeating but after a month she still managed to keep the balance just right. My heart melted at her pouting face but she quickly turned laughing and blushing. I could probably live in this moment forever.
