Thomas POV:"Alexander?" I mumbled pathetically as he shook in front of me, hands over his face he was obvious holding in a sob and trying to stop beating by holding his breath because every 7 or 8 seconds he exhaled loudly and shakily.
"Hey--" I reached up and placed a hand onto his shoulder careful not to startle him, but of course my luck t didn't work. He jerked away with a small whimper, curling up into a ball. I sighed quietly and shifted so I sat on my knees. "Alexander it's me...I'm gonna take you back to bed ok?" He questioned the boy who wouldn't answer, almost a trance.
I reached down and wrapped my arms around his waist pulling him up, he didn't help at all, he just laid in my arms limp like he couldn't move her a damn storm.
"Stop stop!" He screamed and kicked my leg as hard a he could, making me drop him to the ground.
Alexanders:
"Stop- stop!" I screamed and kicked the my brother who was retraining me. He tumbled and cursed at me but I wasn't paying attention. I sprinted over over to my father who was beating my mother on the ground. I raised both fists and began throwing my small self at him, kicking and punching and elbowing.
My father turned and laughed before pushing me back down on the ground. I cried out and closed my eyes tightly hearing a loud boom. "M-mom!"
I opened my eyes to hopefully see her by instead I was face to face to face biggest building in our village, the only problem was there was large waves of water forcefully crashing into the building making it unstable and it was already leaning towards the building my bother and i was surviving.
I darted back into the building and saw my brother lay limp on a bed, blood seeping from his chest. "C-come on get up" I whispered and scooped him up as best as I could, after all he was way bigger then I was. He laid over my shoulder as we lumped out of the building, that's when I realized the whole building was surrounded by water, there's no way we was getting out of that.
I laid my brother against the concrete and AU down beside of him. "I love you James" Alex leaned over and pulled his unconscious brother in for a hug.
3rd person:
"James? Madison?" Thomas asked looking at the small boy curled up. Thomas shushed and ran a hand through his hair looking at the boy shake and sob, he did the only thing he knew to. Thomas reached down and grabbed the boys cheek before drawing his hand back and slapping his hand across his face.
Alexanders eyes winded for a moment as he let out a broken sob, shooting up and wrapping his arms around the Virginians neck, sobbing into his shoulder. "T-Thomas!" He cried and latched himself to the taller man.
Thomas sighed and pulled the boys legs up around his waist propping them up. He folded his hands behind the shaken up boys butt and carried him threw the small cabin.
"Shhh" Thomas whispered into the boys ear and walked into the bedroom, waking in and shutting the door behind him. He walked over to the bed and laid Alexander down, crawling in himself.
Alex instantly crawled into Thomas lap, his head pressed against his chest as he legs hung off the side of the bed. Thomas placed his hands on the boys back and rubbed small circles along his spine that showed well through the long shirt he was wearing.
Thomas felt Alex flinch and coward into his arms when a loud boom of thunder boomed through the cabin startling the boy. Thomas pulled the boy up and placed small kissed along his cheeks "shhh, I've got you, you're safe with me, nothing's going to hurt you"
"Thomas.." Alex whispered while pressing his face into the taller mans chest, his smaller frame shaking against the rather bigger mans body.
"Yes?" He asked softly, carefully not to startle the boy, he knew when his sister used to have bad panic attackd the smallest things triggered her."Fucking tell anyone and I'll end you" The smaller man huffed and crawled off of his lap in a swift move, laying down onto the mattress just beside of Thomas. "Right" Thomas snickered quietly and sunk down onto the bed, grabbing the blanket and throwing it over himself and the smaller boy beside him.
Thomas curled up into himself and rested his head against the pillow, looking at Alex who was infront of him furiously trying to whip the tears that stained his lighter skinned cheeks.
Alex inhaled shaking and gripped his pillow looking up at Thomas, trying to retrieve his dominant figure once again, since he's been cowering and crying for the past 30 minutes.
"Don't baby me.." Alex frowned and pushed his hair out of his face since it was irritations him. Once again just like the gods hated him, there was a bright purple flash of lightning shine through the windows followed by a crash of thunder, sending Alexander leaping into the Virginians arms again.
Thomas snickered quietly and wrapped his arms around the other, placing a small kiss to his forehead. "Just let me hold you until the storm passes okay?" He questioned while rubbing small circles into the others back in attempt to keep him calm so he wouldn't cry anymore.
Thomas waited for a reaction from the smaller boy but only got silence in return. He pressed his eyebrows together and looked down at the boy, realizing that his fast breathing had calmed down and he had fallen limp in his arms.
Thomas sighed softly with a slight chuckle. "Well, goodnight Alexander" he mumbled and curled up against the small boy, pressing his face against the pillow once again, enjoying the warmth and company of the other.
