The first of the Forge masters of Peace was a young woman by the name of Odessa PureHeart.
She lived in the city of SoulCrest, a small and quiet city nestled up in the mountains that bordered two other cities. SoulCrest wasn't well spoken of by many of the unified cities, But Odessa was well known among all the lands.
Odessa held a truly unique gift sent down to her at birth by the Goddess Alonymae, She was the goddess of medicine and health.
Odessa had a rare gift of healing, and was born with all the knowledge of Alchemy. She could create a potion for just about any ailment known or otherwise. She even knew potions to cure ailments for Dark sicknesses that were normally only seen on the nether realms.
Although Odessa contained such knowledge and abilities, she was a very humble woman. She rarely allowed praises or gratuitousness gifts from others for her work. She merely loved to help others and often took her work for free, no matter the ailment.
Allura and Arguyas journeyed with Allura's parents to Odessa and see if she would be willing to join the cause. It took them nearly three weeks to reach the mountain range that SoulCrest sat upon, but they soon reached the city and gained entrance after paying the visitors tax.
Arguyas stood tall as he gathered the attention of the cities Citizens who were out and about on their early morning routines. "Please if i may acquire your attention for just a moment! We are here in search of a woman by the name of Odessa PureHeart who may reside here."
The citizens mumbled to one another in hushed tones as they discussed weather or not to converse with these new strangers. Before anyone could say anything Odessa chimed in from the back of the crowd. "I am Odessa PureHeart. Who asks of me?" She stood tall as she floated through the crowd to face the people who called her out.
"I am Arguyas, Son of the king of Argon, this is Allura, Ruler of LunarWood. We are here seeking your help." Arguyas took a knee as did Allura and her parents. This was a sign of respect in Danfreel when asking assistance of someone unfamiliar to every day life.
Odessa grumbled as she hated such a gesture to be shown to her. "Please stand...Let us go speak somewhere more private."
She motioned for them to follow her as she headed towards her home which doubled as her place of practice. They each stood and followed behind Odessa.
Once inside Odessa turned to them. "Now...what could be so important that you would come here and interrupt my work?" Although she was displeased with the interruption she still held an expression of gentleness and patience.
"We are on a journey to regain Artullas forge, so that we may bring peace back to Danfreel, and we heard of your gifts." Arguyas began slowly and calmly.
"We are in need of your healing abilities, for the fight to bring peace will not go without casualties, and we need all the help we can get if we are to end this war." Allura chimed in softly from beside Arguyas.
Odessa remained silent for a few moment as she looked back and forth between the four people that stood before her. She was a fair lady. She had a plain face, but still pretty. Her eyes were a faded gray blue color, her hair as black as a ravens wings, and her skin was pale and shown very little color. Yet she was beautiful in her own respect.
"I've heard much of the war that wages outside our gates...It is a bloody one., and fruitless to say the least." She began in a hushed tone. "I am wiling to help, in the name of peace, but only if I am promised the ability to return home quietly when its over, I do not wish for my name to be spoken all over Danfreel in renounce." She finished simply and without hesitation.
Arguyas nodded slowly as he listened to what she had to say. "That is something we can do. So we have your hand in aid for this war?" He asked as clarification.
Odessa simply nodded. "Allow me to gather my things and I will set out with you at once." She replied as she picked up a knapsack and began to fill it with many herbs and ingredients. She then tied a belt around her waist that held many small glass vials and a bag of coins.
She then vanished into another room and came out dressed in warm robes and boots with an armored underside that consisted of tough rebound hide and chainmail. "I am ready." She smiled sincerely as she slung her knapsack over her shoulders and slid the key to her home in her pocket.
Allura smiled warmly at Odessa as they left her home and exited the city. When the gates closed behind them Odessa stopped and turned back taking a deep breath. She hardly left the safe confines of her city, but this was for a cause that Odessa dreamed of each night since the war began.
She refused to pass up the opportunity to help bring peace back to the land. She would do this for Sagie, If not for anything else, for her baby sister.
