The journey started rather smooth.

No problems arose.

The weather was nice and the sun wasn't too hot.

It wasn't until the 3rd week of travel that things began to turn south.

Allura and Arguyas had stopped to make camp for the night in a small wooded area. Night was already beginning to fall. Allura was gathering fire wood while Arguyas started to make a fire to keep them warm.

Allura had just gotten back and stacked up all the wood and rolled out the bed mats when there was the distinct sound of hoofs pounding against the earth.

Allura looked back at Arguyas with a frown. "That doesn't sound good." Arguyas grabbed Alluras hand and ran for a crevasse in a mount of rocks a few yards away from the camp.

He made sure she was  safely hidden and turned around. "I'll find out what they want. If things get too out of control i'd expect you'll intervene." He grins ear to ear as he hands Her Katana over and walks back for camp. He hides her bed roll and sits in front of the fire as if she were never there.

A group of a dozen men or more on horse back stopped at the camp, looking down on Arguyas. These were his brothers men. "Well well if it isn't the reject King." Said the leader of the group. Arguyas simply rolled his eyes. "Well, Well if it isn't my brothers little pets." He shot back.

They all glared down at him. "Where's the girl?" They question jumping off of their horses with weapons drawn. "There's no one here but me. I didn't feel like I needed her weighing me down." He replied convincingly.

They all exchanged glances of disbelief then returned their attention to Arguyas. "We need that girl. So if you find her you'd be wise to report to us. Who knows maybe your brother would welcome you back home." They all remounted their horses.

"We are on a search for the lost GladeShire forge. Once we find it there will be no one who can stop us from conquering all of the known world." He grins, and with that the infantry rode away.

Arguyas would be lying if he said he wasn't relieved that didn't go south. But he also knew the dangers of his brother finding that Forge before them. He rushed back to Alluras hiding place.

"There's no time for rest. We must keep moving. My brother plans to find the forge. If he discovers it before us we will stand no chance in stopping the wars." He sounded frantic yet determined.

Allura stood quickly. "They said the weapons glow brighter, the closer we get to the forge. That means we have the upper hand." She held up her Katana and smiled. "So lets go."

They pack their things and take off in the direction the swords glowed the most. They knew if they didn't stop the kings men from over taking the forge, then all hope would be the lost and the war could never be won.

-3 weeks later-

Allura and Arguyas found the forge, surprisingly in tact for being abandoned since the first age. Allura began to quicken her steps in approach to the forge, her Katana glowing brighter and hotter as she did so.

Arguyas followed her step for step. But by the time they got to the flight of stairs that lead up to the entrance the swords quit glowing, as did the forge fire at the top.

Then emerging from the shadows of the forge, were the kings men. Larger in numbers than the small regimen that had scouted out ahead of them mere weeks ago. Each man dressed to the gills for war. Weapons drawn and looks of determination and sure victory on their faces.

Arguyas scowled. This wasn't good. If they had already been there than there was no way they could win this. His weapon, sensing his doubt began to vibrate in his grasp. They were severely out numbered, and each man that stood before them were harshly trained in the most excruciating of battle tactics.

Still yet the weapons knew their chances and ached for the ending of the wars.

Arguyas looked at Allura, already determined, Katana drawn and ready to fight. He smiled, knowing he had to fight this battle for her, for the known world.

They charged the enemy of nearly five hundred men, head on with cries of fierce power. As their weapons clashed with those of the enemy, sparks began to ignite in the forge, bringing the flames of power back to life slowly.

The battle raged on in blood and exhaustion. Allura and Arguyas holding their own against the insane number of men that apposed them. But as the fight grew, their chances dwindled.

Allura had been outnumbered and held back by the men, Ordered only to capture, not kill. Arguyas brother laughed from behind his men, who had outnumbered him as well. That was it. It was over.

"Dear brother, you thought you could foil my regimen of five hundred men? It was never to be so easy." He laughed again. "The forge is mine brother. As it should be. For now, with its power, I can finish fathers work and become supreme ruler over all of Danfreel and the known world."

He grins a sickening evil grin. "Throw these two in the pits below the forge. We have work to do, for soldiers so strong deserve weapons created in the most powerful forge." He laughed.

"Now no one shall stop me!"

Allura and Arguyas were thrown in a tunnel system below the Forge. The entire area damp and cold. Dripping with water. It  smelled of sewage and death. The entire tunnel system was submerged in water up to your waist.

Allura groaned as she picked herself up off of the damp ground. "What are we going to do!?" She asked in a desperate and frightened voice.

Arguyas frowns. "We will have to find our way out of here, stop my brother before he completes what my father started." He replied in a surprisingly calm voice. "How can you be so calm at a time like this!?" She asked beginning to panic a little.

"Please. You must remain calm. If there truly is magic that flows through this Forge, than negative magic only can reside down here. We must keep our wits about us if we are to have a chance to stop my brother."

Allura took a deep breath to clear her head. "Your right. Where do we start?"

He closed his eyes and took in the total silence. Aside from water there were no other noises. He could hear water flowing to the south. Down hill. He smiled. "South tunnel. There is water flowing. Any water that flows must come out somewhere." He replies simply.

She smiles. "Good point. Lets go! We are limited on time here."

With that they took off down the south tunnel, following the sound of the flowing water.

They were lead down several winding tunnels, tripping in the dark. They were not even able to see inches from their face. There were not signs of sunlight for miles. The longer they walked the deeper the water got, and the harder it became to travel forward.

But soon they saw a little light at the end of one of the tunnels. Allura smiled. "That's it! A way out!" They both began to rush for the opening. Finding a water fall that fell into a large lake. They looked at each other and intertwined hands.

Arguyas gave her hand a gentle squeeze and they plunged off of the falls and into the deep water below.
