11) Will he succeed?

Akash was burning with the day's events. How anika had always chosen shivaay over him, how shivaay had dragged anika with him to the basement, the vonversation he had with shivaay,the lipstick mark on his lips. Yes. Akash spotted the lipstick mark on shivaay's lips and the petrified state of Anika. It further instigated his rage. He drank down his rage with vodka. "I might have been a hidden reason behind your hurt once anika. But i swear, as long as am there i will not let u face any hurt. In the name of god, I promise u that i will ensure, u are always happy. Even if the entire world is against me, i will keep this promise for u. Watch out shivaay!" swore akash while he threw away his vodka bottle from the 15th floor of pentagon hotel out of his rage.

Anika had caught fever due to her break down in the heavy rains. She had took leave from her job on the very second day. Shivaay , who was eagerly awaiting her arrival was shocked when she had absented herself from job. Unable to sit calm in his seat on knowing her absence, he rushed to her home. All of a sudden he felt someone watching him. Shivaay realised someone was spying on the locked door of Anika's home from behind the neem tree. Shivaay pretended to have retreated. The shady spy turned the other direction only to be caught by collar by shivaay. He stomped shivaay on his leg and shivaay in pain left his hand. The shady creature turned out to be one of the gunda who had attacked anika and shivaay in hospital. He was the one who had thrown knife at anika. Shivaay photographed his facd at the very junture in his mobile and started chasing him. But the guy had already vanished into thin air. Frustrated shivaay kicked the land.

He asked neighbours about Anika and the replied that they didn't know her where abouts since yesterday. Panicking shivaay sent khanna to check for Anika at all the places. He suddenly remembered how Anika had asked him to come and meet her in friend's house before the day of gayatri's murder. Shivaay rushed to chanda's house. He knocked with such a force that if chanda had not opened the door the very next instant he would have broken into the home. He asked her if Anika is here. Only when the reply came affirmatively shivaay breathed . "What happened to her? Why is she here? Why did she absent herself from work? " asked shivaay all in the same breath. Chanda explained that she was sick and hence she had brought her along with her to her home.

Shivaay panicked on hearing that Anika was sick. He was about to call doctor to see her while chanda reassured him that she herself is a nurse and that Anika will recover in a day or two. Shivaay said he wanted to see her and lead himself into the room where Anika was sleeping. He saw her sleeping form and got mesmerised. Her eye lids and nose appeared a bit swollen and her sleeping demeanour looked tired due to the sickness. None the less she looked beautiful in his eyes. He set her hair right and stroked her forehead fondly in a protective way. He realised that chanda was standing just behind him. He gave chanda his number and asked her to make a call any time at any place in case Anika needs any help. He requested her to take good care if her. Chanda was baffled at the level of concern of his speech and the affection shivaay's eyes were oozing out for Anika.

After shivaay left Anika slightly opened hed eyes. Chanda said her that shivaay was genuinely caring for her. Anika said "yes. But it has no future" and continued to stare afar. There was a pain in her eyes which could never be explained. The same routine continued for the second day too. Shivaay felt his world coming to a still without talking to HIS Anika. Not even a message from her. He was bursting every vein in his body due to anxiety. Finally his wait had paid off and Anika had joined back work.
