My work day was pale in comparison to last night or this morning. But you know, it's comforting to see some things are the same. I worked hard until lunch time. I walked out of my building and stood there thinking of where I wanted to go for lunch.
"Hey Glass! Want to go have lunch?" My coworker asked as he came up to me.
"Sure," I answered simply.
"What are you thinking?" he asked.
"Hm? Maybe Italian?" I said looking to the sky.
"Hey!" I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turn around to see Kyo standing there looking really annoyed.
"Kyo? What are you doing here?" I asked as I walked up to him.
"I've been standing here waiting for you to notice me!" Kyo scowled.
"Oh... sorry." I said.
"Whatever, come on!" Kyo grabbed my arm.
"Glass?" my coworker called my name. To be honest I completely forgot he was there.
"Sorry but I'll have to take a rain check on lunch!" I yelled back at him as Kyo pulled me away. I don't even mind that he showed up out of the blue and is now forcing me to follow him. It's strange isn't it?
Soon enough I found myself sitting across from Kyo at a pizzeria.
Did he take me here because he heard me say I wanted Italian? Maybe he's secretly a gentleman.
I looked around and then our waitress came up to us to take our order. "Cheese pizza with tomatoes on top and a water, please." We said together. I stared at him in surprise while our waitress giggled and ran off.
"Gross. Don't copy me!" Kyo glared at me.
"I so said it first." I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned back in my chair.
"You did not!" Kyo argued back.
"Did too!" We glared into each others eyes for a moment. It's like time stops when I'm with him. "I've never met anyone who likes the same pizza as me. My friend Ryo says its gross and I'm weird." I laughed as I leaned forward and held my chin in my hand and looked to the side. I felt his gaze heat up my cheek. "So... what do you want?" I asked.
"What?" Kyo seemed taken back by my sudden question.
"I doubt you just came to have lunch with me so what do you want?" I asked more clearly.
"Like hell I would!" Kyo spat. "There's a mission tonight so I'll pick you up at your place when its time." Just then the waitress came out with our food and Kyo started eating right away. I watched him for a minute until he glared at me, then smiled and dug into my own food. Kyo finished really quickly and stood up to go pay.
"Wait!" I stuffed the rest of my slice in my mouth and ran after him. He paid and went to leave. "How much do I owe you?" I asked coming up to him.
"Don't worry about it," he said simply then pointed to the line of people behind us and led me outside.
"Thank you," I said with a smile.
"I have to get back to work now." He said acting like he really didn't want to leave.
"Where do you work at?" I asked.
"None or your business." Kyo spat. Sometimes he can be really nice and sometimes he can be really mean.
"Fine, bye!" I crossed my arms and turned around. He came up behind me and whispered in my ear using a very alluring voice.
"Don't try to run away from me tonight cause I won't let you run and hide for a second." Kyo sent a chill down my spine and made my eyes go wide in surprise.
"Don't say things that are misleading!" I yelled at him then he laughed and walked off with a quick wave. I stopped and watched him leave until I couldn't see him anymore. What he does to me is so frustrating because I can't figure him out. But I do know that I want to know him more. I want to see every inch of his entire existence. I've never wanted this before.
