It had been a while since any activity had taken place in this small town, it almost seemed too quite.

The deaths had come to a screeching halt (which was good).

However, the children weren't playing outside anymore, the lively roads were completely abandoned, lights had been off for what seemed like forever in this town, even businesses weren't open like usual, not even a car in sight!

I sighed as I stared out of my bare window; what had happened to this lively town?

I roamed my eyes around the now dark atmosphere, the moon being the only thing which illuminates the dark sky.

I stared at it for a while just wondering how life had come to this. To all of this.

And that's when I heard this rustle, it wasn't like a normal rustle as there wasn't anything around and the weather had been still all this time. 

My eyes had diverted to the ground and I didn't see anything other than a deer crossing the road.

Well, that's the most life I've seen in a while.

A chilly breeze then made its way to my shoulder, I quickly hugged both my arms and looked at the window to make sure the windows were shut properly.

And to my surprise, they were glued shut (not literally but metaphorically speaking.).

I then felt the chilling breeze again but this time, I felt it at the back of my neck.

I quickly turned around only to see darkness.

I quickly glanced back out of the window and stared into the forest one last time before something caught my eye.

I could see this shadowy figure standing behind me but before I could even let a peep out, that hand had fully grasped my mouth and it started to drag me into the darkness.
