Serena's POV
1 day before the date...
I've been sitting here with my journal in my hand for hours with what I wrote. I was hoping it to my chest and I was scared to show it to Ash. If I told him where I came from I don't know if he would hate me and tell someone who hunts angels like me. That would be bad.

It was now the morning of Thursday. Midnight starts the next day which is now Thursday. I want Friday to come. It's tomorrow. My first date. I really can't wait. "Serena?" Ash asks breaking me out of my thoughts. "Are you going to tell me now." He asks sitting next to me on his bed.

I sigh in my head and I nod my head slowly. I look at the ground and tell myself it's going to be alright. I go through the possibilities of what could happen if I did tell him. Then I turned the journal towards him so he can see what I spent hours hiding in my arms.

You see.. Ash.. I'm not from here.. "What do you mean?" He asks curiously. I turn the page and show him more. I'm not even from this part of the world.. I'm an Angel. Not one of those you hear in your stories. I'm an Angel of life.

"Your.. an Angel?!" Ash exclaims and I quickly put my hand over his mouth and out a finger in front of my mouth shushing him. He puts up his hands up in defense. Sorry. I don't know if anyone is listening to this who would go after me. I write and he frowns. "Who would go after you?"

We'll get to that. But yes I'm an Angel. I was banished from where I came from because of something I did. I don't have my wings and it's why I can't talk. It's punishment. I write and Ash looks at the ground at his feet. "So you did something and you were punished?" He asks and I nod my head.

"Y'know I wasn't expecting that.." Ash says softly making me a little scared. What if he hated me now? What if he's going to turn me over to someone. What if he turns me over to one of them.. I had to trust my judgement though. "So if there are Angels of Life like you.. are there the opposite? Like Angels of Death?" Ash asks and I feel a tear form in my eye.

I nod my head and quickly stand up. Goodnight Ash. I write and walk to the door with tears starting to fall down my face. To answer your question, yes. Now night.. I write and open his door. I feel his hand wrap around my wrist and pull me into a hug. "It's okay Serena. Sleep well." He says before quickly releasing me from his hug.

I stare at him and blink my eyes twice before nodding and walking to my room. That went better then I thought.. But he asked about them.. I couldn't stand the thought of those.. death creatures. My first friend was taken away by them..

Hours later...
"Serena! Honey wake up you slept in!" I hear Delia shout and I immediately wake up and get out of bed. I still had my clothes from yesterday on so I decided to keep those on again. "Ash is waiting Cmon." Delia says when I'm done getting ready with her soft smile. "Don't forget to be at the cafe for opening day this afternoon." Yes ma'am. I write and walk out the door.

"Cmon Serena. We are going to miss the bus." Ash says nonchalantly making me panic a little. Seeing this Ash laughs. "I'm kidding we have time Angel." Ash says running down the sidewalk. He caught me off guard. Why'd he call me Angel? I ask myself as I start to run after him.

We got to the bus on time and got to school like usual. We go through the day and eventually get to lunch. "Wait.. So Ash called you Angel?" Dawn asks in her regular cheery voice. I nod my head and she squeals. "Do you think he likes you like Calem?!" Dawn exclaims grabbing the attention of other lunch eaters. She laughs nervously but smiles.

"I totally think he does!" She shouts happily catching me off guard. He couldn't like me. "I totally think he doesn't. He's mine after all." A girl named Miette says walking into the Cafeteria and standing next to me and Dawn. "In your dreams sister. He's too good for you." Dawn says giggling and rolling her eyes playfully.

"No but seriously. He's pretty cool." Miette says happily. Miette has become friends with me, Dawn and the other girls. May and Hailey all have different lunch periods and none of the same class periods as Miette. It's sad but hey it happens I guess. We met her about 2 days ago when she came to talk to us.

"Soooo? Serena? Wanna hang out tonight with me and. Miette?" Dawn asks and I nod my head. "That's great! I would invite May and Hailey but they seem busy with school and other things all the time." Dawn says sadly. "Hey they'll come around. In fact, I'll ask them." Miette says walking out of the cafeteria.

A few minutes later she comes back. "Good news! They can hang out tonight!" Miette squeals happily. "That's awesome!" Dawn exclaims jumping up. "All five of us. Tonight at my house." Dawn says giving us both a high five. All of a sudden my phone rings saying I got a text message.

I take my phone out and see it's from Calem. "Calem isn't it!?" Dawn exclaims looking at my phone. I nod smiling and open my phone to read the message. My smile quickly fades when I read it. "I'm Sorry Serena.. we can't go on a date. I'm breaking up with you." I  then slowly drop my phone as tears rush to my eyes.

"Serena what's wrong? What happened?" Dawn asks and she picks the phone up. "The jerk.. he even broke up with a text.. he's an even bigger jerk.." Dawn whispers and she looks at my face. I can feel warm tears sliding slowly down my face and Dawn comes to hug me tightly and so does Miette. A day before the date... what happened....

Told you, anything can happen before the date. But honestly though, Calem was a jerk for breaking up via text message. I made him hateable (probably not a word) but it might be your mistake if you hate him still. Why do you think he broke up with Serena? But, the Amourshipping is beginning. So hey! It'll come soon enough.
