The beginning of summer, the flowers, and greenery bloom fully with fewer rain showers to damper on outdoor activities. Not to mention the mid-summer festivals. Tino hummed as he was busy making a simple breakfast for his family of four.

One by one the three boys entered the cozy ikea made kitchen, slowly taking their seats at the small oak table still trying to wake up. Berwald yawned deeply and stretched in his seat, rubbing his eyes he looked around and mumbled out, " G'morning dear."

Tino smiled and stepped away for a moment and grabbed a cup of fresh coffee that gave off a faint scent. Pecking his husband's cheek he smiled, " Good morning sleepy head. Drink up!"

"Tack," Berwald grunted.

The two little boys rubbed their eyes to try and wake up, Erland spoke up huffing. " Pappa I want coffee just like you too."

"Nej." Berwald instantly answered.

Erland puffed his cheeks, his eyebrows knitted together as he looked ready to throw the most annoyed fit possible just to see if this time around he would get his way. Of course, before he could release hell, a simple look from his father made him deflate and look away in defeat.

"Whatever...coffee is bad for you anyways," Erland grumbled.

Peter stepped off from his seat and sighed leaning up against Tino. " Isa, is the food finished cooking yet? My tummy is making loud noises."

Tino nodded, " Yes. Go take your seat and I'll give you some." he requested.

Quickly he dished out the food portions, each one digging in, Erland and Peter both attacked their plates as if they had never had much to eat. Tino sighed, " Boys, slow down or you will choke on your food-"

All of the sudden the phone started to go off subtly alarming the small family. Tino sighed and went to get up until Berwald waved him down.

" I've got it."

Tino nodded and smiled while taking a bite of his food. Berwald answered the call and chatted for a moment before his body went stiff from what Tino could see. With each pause, it was like he was taking a major hit towards his body. "Ja........Uh..Ja....uhuh...ja...."  Tino stood up walking towards him as he Berwald took in a sharp breath and cleared his throat, even though his words were already coming out shaky. It was futile.

" J-Ja....let me give the news to my spouse. I-I will call you for further instructions. Ja...Ja...adjö." He quickly finished while hanging up the phone.

Tino saw how uncomfortable Berwald looked and touched his shoulder, watching the man's body relax from his touch. He raised his gaze to meet Berwald and asked in a concerned tone, " Is everything alright? who was it on the phone?"

Berwald was about to speak before he glanced over his shoulder at the two boys who were staring closely at the two adults before he sighed, " Come with me in the hall for a moment. You boys stay here."

As the two adults promptly walked out of the kitchen and into the hallway nook, Erland and Peter glanced at each other before Erland was the first to jump up from his seat, silently walking towards the door that separated them. Peter whisper-shouted at his brother " Oi! what are you doing!? Pappa said to stay here Erland!"

Erland sharply spun around and pressed his finger to his lips as if saying 'shut up idiot you're too noisy.' Peter blinked and scooted off his seat and slowly tiptoed across the floor reaching Erland's spot. Both boys overheard the two men speak in serious tones that seemed unfamiliar. At one point it even sounded like Tino was crying, for some odd reason.
